Lucha Fury is a side-scrolling beat-em-up set in the Lucha Libre universe. It is set for release on PSN and XBLA in Q1 2011 (exact release date not yet announced). A deluxe edition will be released on PC at a later date. The game features four player local/online co-op and takes place in a variety of locations across the globe. The Lucha Libre element promises to add a fun and unique twist on a genre that is currently seeing a revival thanks to downloadable games.
Surprisingly, Duke Nukem Forever JUST missed the cut.
Lol @ the video posted for blackwater. That game looks horrible.
Most of these are downloadable from the various stores and I haven't heard of half of them...
PlayDevil has posted an XBLA review of "Lucha Fury".
More:
"For the uninitiated the word Lucha comes from Lucha Libre which is a form of wrestling which stems from Mexico and features combatants known as Luchadores whom hide their true identities under masked guises."
Chris W. writes: "Lucha Fury is a good-looking game, and you can tell that Punchers Impact treated the game as a labor of love. Four luchador wrestlers (who are also slackers) come together to stop a shortage of their favorite energy drink only to stumble upon something more sinister; this is no normal shortage. Ancient Gods are stealing the world’s supply of Pollojo, because they don’t think the human race deserves to have it. Quite a silly premise for a story, but is it enough to keep you entertained throughout the game?"
PC only? C'mon son!
I LOVE side scrolling Beat Em Ups! Hope it goes Downloadable for consoles too!
Those eggs were a lie, Esqueleto. A LIE! They give me no eagle powers! They give me no nutrients!
