this game takes too many steps backwards gameplay wise in my opinion

more than ANY other console generation. I have a strong feeling it wont be like this next gen.

This is the first AND last time we will see two rival consoles as equally matched in performance as the 360/PS3.

It wasnt like this in the Genesis/SNES gen. You knew which one looked better and which one played better. The differences were obvious.

Makes me think what sony and MS will do next gen to stand out from each other.

Which one looks best?

Hmmm.

I'd have to say Battlefield 3.

The PS3 shot's don't have Super-White or Full RGB on, the PS3 copy I have looks much better than is being shown here.

Disagree(3) - Hahaha.

a matter of personal preference? Things that can be adjusted by the individual will always come under scrutiny. It should be the things that CANT be adjusted that are compared.

Textures, screen tearing, frame rate...etc

Anything that involves the adjustment of the tv or the console should be disallowed as it is a matter of personal preference.

So are you saying the PS3 version looks the worst in those screenshots?

Disagree(3) - Hahaha.

edit Ve3tro: I'm will to bet that BOTH consoles were set to their defaults for this comparison.

I have avoided most multiplatform games this gen. Most of them have suffered as a result of going multiplatform. Either they have been of lesser quality on one or held back on the other. Only exclusives on both consoles seem to be where the real value for money seems to be.

You have missed out on alot of great games then. Most of the time the difference is so small you would need to have them running side by side to notice the difference

Close_Second4814d ago

I've not missed anything as far as I'm concerned. I only play 4-5 different games a year so I focus on what I believe to be the good ones for me.

I have a life outside of gaming.

Fight Night Round 5: We Want A New Fight Night Game

It’s been almost a decade since the critically acclaimed Fight Night Champion, the final title in a series of beloved boxing video games from Electronic Arts. Since 2011, the studio has been focused on its mixed martial arts title, UFC, instead. But with the rise of the popularity of boxing again, thanks to fighters like Floyd Mayweather and Tyson Fury, could we possibly have another Fight Night game on the way?

IT'SSSSSSSS FIIIIIIGHT NIIIIIIGHT!!!!
I hope they make it like round four instead of champions but ill take any fight night at this point

They need to go back to the good roots of FN R2 and FN R3. Everything after watered down the formula too much and enabled gimmicks. FNR2&3 are some of the greatest fighting games ever.

3 was fun and you could smash out so many haymakers. But I found 4 more technical and enjoyed it for that too.

navi87446d ago

At least in 3 you had to wind up your shots, it was more skill based as opposed to 4 where you just held down L1 or R1 whilst flicking the analogue stick.

navi87446d ago

Agreed, i played FNR 3 the most on Xbox 360 back in the day and using the analogue sticks to kinda mimic punches thrown was fun af. FNR 4 ruined it by just flicking the analogue stick to throw hooks, felt really unintuitive after the previous games.

They'd ruin it like they do everything these days
