I wouldn't be surprised if this turn out to be the cover for Game Informer. Looking good.

captain-obvious4825d ago

from that pic i cant tell its going to imitate GTAIV

like a 100% rip off

Wenis4825d ago

Yeah because GTAIV had planes

MRMagoo1234825d ago

what i have noticed is GTA has gotten worse and saints row has gotten better so im looking forward to this and hopefully rockstar take a good look at how much fun they put into saints row and try to make gta fun again like san andreas.

bluwulf4825d ago

Thank god, someone with a brain.

"what i have noticed is GTA has gotten worse and saints row has gotten better"

EXACTLY. I didn't even finish GTAIV. It was boring, and there was nothing to do. GTA is about stupid violence, and keeping you busy. Living the life of these criminals..

NOT playing darts.

SR2 was more like San Andreas, although a lot more whimsical, than GTAIV was. As far as content... SR3 could be a little bit more mature/less cartoony(or leave the cartoony stuff for unlocks), and I think it would be the king of sandbox violence. GTA has lost its mind.

NukaCola4824d ago

@Wenis
"Yeah because GTAIV had planes"

let me add to that...

Or variety, or fun..

mikeslemonade4824d ago (Edited 4824d ago )

One of the ugliest game series this generation is coming back. For me it's unacceptable to have such inferior graphics. Two make things worst were gonna have at least three Saints Row games in one generation.

MicroSony4Life4823d ago

@milks - So you would rather look a pretty graphics than play a fun game -_-

Enjoy haveing people call you to go to movie and internet dates.

hopefully its on a new engine
it looks like saints' don't have to start from zero again so maybe a few things carry over
I think we will see more at E3

the only thing i don't like about SR3 is that its coming out in fall also i mean as a gamer how many games can you really pick up and play in one fall

resistance 3
rage
ratchet all 4 one
skyrim
mass effect 3
uncharted 3
last guardian
battlefield 3
saints row 3
batman 2
twisted metal

and i am sure i am missing few big titles so as you can see get ready to just sit in your room for fall and play all these games and i fully expect a few delays because in that list you have to throw the 10000LBS guerrilla COD:MW3

the list i made i will pick up all of those games day one besides MW3

Uzesgelen_Goo4824d ago

4 me
Dynasty Warriors 7
Uncharted 3
Saints Row 3
Mass Effect 3
Resistance 3
and maybe check some others but these listed are must buy 4 me

iNFAMOUZ14824d ago

my wallet is screaming for mercy just looking at that list..jesus

xtremexx4825d ago

nice colour scheme, black purple and silver/white.

DragonWarrior4825d ago (Edited 4825d ago )

yeup, this is gonna be better than any gta game ever created. Saints Row 2 was so cool, now they are gonna add more realism , better graphics, but yet stay true to what made the game great to begin with.

I consider Saints Row the true spiritual successor to the GTA series.

Stealth20k4825d ago

LOL you crack me up

the spiritual successor to the gta series is the next gta....... saints row isnt even on the same level

CaptainMarvelQ84825d ago

i consider Saints Row more of a parody of GTA
it's fun,but still doesn't reach the magnitude and level of GTA

StanSmith4825d ago

What GTA were you guys playing? GTA4 took one step forward at two steps back. It wasn't half the game San Andreas was. Yeah it had better graphics and physics but that means nothing when the game is boring and repetitive. Gimme Saints row 2 any day! Yeah the graphics were below average but the game was fun as hell and had a great story and Soundtrack too. GTA 4 was lacking in content.

Anyone who has played the PS2 GTAs and Saints Row 2 know it was the spiritual successor to the franchise. You either haven't played Saints Row 2 or you are blinded by your GTA fanboy goggles!

DantheMan814825d ago

Yeah I'm not really sure why people think saints row is better than gta. Its a fun game, but gta has good stories, great voice actors, and alot of polish. In saints row when I get out of a car and turn my back, it disappears.

r1sh124825d ago

@marioftw..
Put my N4g Username into youtube.
Watch my GTA videos..
Thats how we all had fun on GTA

FFXI1014825d ago (Edited 4825d ago )

"saints row isnt even on the same level.....Graphically" there, I fixed.

There few things I didn't like the GTA4, one it was suppose to be an open world. Sure we could drive from one side of city to the other end but we couldn't really get into any building we want unless we are in the mission/quest.

The second thing I didn't like was the driving, this isn't a driving simulation or a racing game, drive should be fun but that's not the case(at least not to me)

Saints Row might not look as good as GTA4 but it offers lots more fun than the GTA4(they even had a zombie mode)

You could get into a liquor store buy drink(or any store) or you could have then at gun point and took the money OR you could sneak in through the back door and steal the money from the safe.

There are lots things to do in Saint's Row, online is fun too(above is just an example)

Although I like the Story and the stracture in GTA4 I just think it fell short of out expectation.

king dong4825d ago

you people kill me. gta last gen evolved with each game...just like gta this gen will.

you idiots that slag off gta for being half of san andreas, seem to forget that gta 3 was half of vice city, and a fraction of san andreas.

wonder why that was.

incoming disagrees, please tell me that i am wrong, that gta, vice city and san andreas all had the exact same amount of contenet, size and everything else.

Rainstorm814825d ago

I agree @ King

people tend to forget there is only one GTA this gen while this is the third SR this gen....

Funny thing is half of the people attempting to discredit the GTA series will do a 180 one the next in the series is unveiled.

Just look at the quality of RDR and LA: Noire in comparison to GTA4....

I don't know what to say. To laugh or to cry. But that is by far the dumbest line I have ever read.

Cajun Chicken4825d ago

I'm Hyped! Really hope the scale is upped. Saint's Row 2 was fairly big, but if it can get to San Andreas level, I'll be over the moon.

Slightly disappointing game but Wo Long had a good creator. I was impressed by Oblivion back in what 05, 06? But the worst i have ever seen, clearly, Valheim.

ModsDoBetter373d ago

What was up with Wo Long?

Not looked at any reviews and did download it on my Xbox before I sold the console but never got around to playing it. Saw it drop in price on PS5 and was thinking of picking it up.

RE: Character creation

Oblivion hold a special place for me, when it came out on PS3, it was the first game of its kind that I had played and the character creator took was amazing.

I do like Monster Hunter: World & FFXIV, personally.
Cyberpunk did good in that department, despite its numerous flaws.

IamTylerDurden1372d ago

I played Oblivion day 1 on 360 and was impressed with the creator. Damn near 20 yrs ago, it was impressive at the time. Special game, unfortunately 90% of current gamers on social media have not a clue about the older stuff. Elder Scrolls is just Skyrim to many. They know not of Gothic and the old guard that paved the way. Flimsy ass rhetoric and recycled opinions about the same bs is what garners attention. Meme culture. Insight and intellect hold no place on the current day internet. Fuck likes, follows, BS. I say what i believe is relevant, what i'm interested in, and following means fuck all bc i don't respect 99% of the ppl online anyway.

For the "TLDR" bs. I'ma not space it out on purpose. Fuck you very much folks.

isarai373d ago (Edited 373d ago )

Honestly the one I remember being easiest and flexible enough to make any character I imagined was the PS2 WWE games, and Saints Row 2. I did really enjoy Dragons dogmas character creation too

IamTylerDurden1372d ago (Edited 372d ago )

I was gonna mention Black Desert but the game is horrible so...

Creator was the best part.

Lol CP 2077 is one of the easiest and less detailed editors around. It's all a mish-mash of presets.

Honorable mention to Drive Clubs Ferrari Fxx-K. Should be there over Horizon.

TheColbertinator477d ago

The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak from the Gran Turismo series

Nissan Skyline from Need for Speed Underground

Motorcycle Steamroller from Dead Rising 3

And finally a car you never drive but saves your ass over and over : Honey Badger from COD MW2

Gardenia477d ago

I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.

dumahim477d ago

No one liked the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Top 10?

toxic-inferno477d ago

I don't know... It was a strange addition to the game, and the parts of the game where you had to fight in it were tedious. But driving it around Gotham felt brilliant.
