Destructoid: Jurassic Park Is Like Heavy Rain, but with Dinosaurs

In the Jurassic Park movie, Dennis Nedry attempted to smuggle dinosaur embryos to a rival organization. Dennis was killed by a Dilophosaurus, and the can of embryos was seemingly lost. There were people waiting for Dennis to deliver on the goods and Jurassic Park: The Game tells a new story that attempts to tie this loose end.

I hope they improve the graphics. But i don't think Telltale have experience with this kind of game.

I want a Jurrassic Park that plays similar to GTA.

FanboyPunisher4822d ago (Edited 4822d ago )

I want a Jurassic Park...

To have RE4 elements, mixed with Dino Crsis elements like the first three RE's. Toss in some uncharted platforming (Toned back a bit) and then you'll have a perfect game..

Jurassic Park is..
Part Horror
Part Action
Part Adventure.

Kind of upset that they choose to make the game less 'video game' and more of a movie....

Lame.

If you want a game like that, go moan to Capcom to make it for a change.

And if you want to shoot dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, go play the excellent Jurassic Park arcade games. I like the direction the developers are taking with this game.

I enjoyed the Back to the Future demo that they made very much and plan on buying it sometime and also look forward to adding Jurassic Park to my dinosaur collection as well.

The much fun Dino Crisis was I don't think that shooting dino would fit the Jurassic Park universe... Having read the books and watched the movies, I say they took a good direction in making it an Adventure game instead of a Shooter, although your definition of part horror, part action and part adventure is spot on for the series.

I miss the days when action movies weren't about a main guy kicking everyone/everything else's butt.

"I want a Jurrassic Park that plays similar to GTA."

That would be pretty cool.

spunnups4822d ago

Even better than that, how about Jurrassic Park that plays similar to Red Dead Redemption. No guns, just the abililty to ride Dinosaurs and use weapons made out in the wilderness. You start out as a young boy and develop into a killing machine.

"RAPTOOOOOOOOOOR" during one scene?

Press X to T-Rex.

Nah, I'm only fooling, I love Heavy Rain really.

Burning_Finger4822d ago

The game looks horrid the same thing with Back to the future.
I think this is going on the PSN or something. I guess $15 is a decent price tag.

Bounkass4822d ago

Oh no! I wanted to free roam the jurassic park...

Every Jurassic Park Game Ranked From Worst To Best

BLG writes: "In 1993 Steven Spielberg took Michael Crichton’s novel about a dinosaur theme park and turned it into a cinema masterpiece. And ever since then every developer from Konami to Telltale has tried to make the films into a video game. The developers were so concerned with whether or not they could, they never stopped to consider whether they should. Welcome to every Jurassic Park Game ever made ranked from worst to best."

Dinosaurs once ruled the 🌎

ZeekQuattro642d ago

It's funny I was a big dinosaur fan as a kid but I only ever played JP 1 (NES), JP II (SNES) and JP Rampage Edition (Genesis). I really liked Rampage Edition as you got to play a raptor trying to escape the Island.

sourOG642d ago

I really enjoyed the evolution games. I platinumed both but I never got the dlc. That’s the planet coaster studio if I’m not mistaken. They are awesome, they brought that shit to consoles in a competent way. As a Jurassic park fan and a sim building fan it was a perfect match. Does anyone know if planet zoo if ever coming to consoles?

Profchaos641d ago

When I was a kid I saved up and brought the lost world game on PS1 all I ever wanted was to be a Trex let lose on the city like the end of the movie but man that difficulty I never made it past the 2nd level

ANIALATOR136641d ago (Edited 641d ago )

Back then with there being no Internet, you needed the codes to access the levels too. And if you didn't have them, you could always keep inputting nonsense into the search until something came up. I remember once inputting the right code for the t rex level but since I didn't write it down, I couldn't play it again when I died. These days it's nothing though to go back and play what you want, when you want.

Jurassic Park Sega CD wasn't even mentioned, so this list isn't "Every". Actually a pretty bad game, but I loved it because I was a JP obsessed kid! XD
