IGN: Homefront's Occupied America

There's no genre in gaming more derivative than the first-person shooter. And as time passes, it's difficult to believe that much more can be done to make one FPS feel fresh or different from another. There are man-versus-the-world shooters, squad-based shooters, shooters that cover real-world wars and shooters that work off of fictional worlds. But every once in a while, something different emerges in the realm of the FPS.

Are there any games where americans are the bad guys? I think thatd be something different

IaMs124836d ago

Nope, but in movies all the time haha

KonohagakureFC4836d ago (Edited 4836d ago )

Got a point there

Bigpappy4836d ago (Edited 4836d ago )

What are you? A teliban member?

Bigpappy4836d ago (Edited 4836d ago )

Thanks, but I really don't care how you spell it. They are sone crazy bitches. Hate to live in their world. Trying to rule by the use of fear.

KonohagakureFC4836d ago

Im not a terrorist no, I dont even live on that continent, Im from South Africa (not that it matters) and I mean I have nothing against americans or america but its kind of boring how theyre always the heroes saving the day... Homefront does sound like it will have a good story but i mean they could have easily made the USA the bad guys and the Koreans the good guys.. just to be a little different no?

Bear_Grylls4836d ago (Edited 4836d ago )

Typical yank doesn't even know how to spell the name of his worst enemy.

On the flip side I would like to see a game where the US govt. are/is portrayed as the button pushing war mongers that they are................

FLAME ON LOL.

madjedi4835d ago (Edited 4835d ago )

Typical european no one else calls us yanks, any other dumbass generalizations you want to throw out there while your at it.

"On the flip side I would like to see a game where the US govt. are/is portrayed as the button pushing war mongers that they are................ "

I would also like for 1 day for the us military in real life to be ordered to not take the mandatory steps to minimize civilian casualties. To use any and all excessive and unnecessary force at it's disposal, againsts it's enemies short of wmd's. Thankfully that day will never happen.

So then maybe some of you idiots that call the u.s. gov't warmongers ect, would see exactly how much restraint is practiced by the armed forces.

20 bucks says uttered by a fool that has never read up on previous wars throughout history and read about the astounding loss of life in previous wars compared to recent military actions undertaken by modern militaries.

Never mind an aussie, maybe the us shouldn't have been a warmonger and left your people to fend for themselves against the japanese, instead of aiding them 65-70 yrs ago.

Bear_Grylls4835d ago

Meh... You never did anything to help us your grand fathers did, you like the rest of the good Ol US is just a dying leech attached to the nipple of it's former glory.

We are now worth more than you guys as well. Hope you enjoy you rotting economy and race riots wars in the next few years.

IaMs124835d ago

Funny thing, i bet you cant even tell me WHY we have race wars, the reason behind it and why its not as bad overseas? Huh i bet you couldnt.
