N4G's Slam Bolt Scrappers Interview with Eitan Glinert

N4G's Cat asks Eitan Glinert, Fire Hose Games' very own Fire Chief, a series of brain melting questions. Fueled by Cheerios and Everclear, Eitan survived to tell N4G why SOE is "awesome", what he thinks about game demos, what he dislikes about motion control - and even reveals two additional character names for the first time!

Fire Hose Games is an indie studio out of Boston, Massachusetts making the PSN title Slam Bolt Scrappers. From the interview:

CS: For those that haven’t read my super awesome preview from PAX Prime, can you talk a little bit about Slam Bolt Scrappers' premise and gameplay?

EG: Sure! SBS is a unique multiplayer mash up of building and brawling. Either watch the video below, or read this:

Basically you fly around and get colored blocks by beating up these charming little baddies. Once you've got a few colored blocks you can build with them in your tower, with your goal being to build big squares of the same color. Build big squares causes weapons...

Slam Bolt Scrappers Review | CalmDownTom

Slam Bolt Scrappers is a strange game. Strange in an interesting way. The basic premise is that you have a building area and your opponent has a building area. You then fight over crates which can be dropped in your own building area in a sort of psuedo-tetris way. When these crates are arranged into square shapes they form turrets that shoot at the other player’s turrets. Oh! And there’s different coloured crates for different types of turrets. Also there’s ninjas and giant robots. Got all that? Good.
