The '80s were all about transforming robots. Whether you wanted the soap opera of Robotech, the warring factions in Transformers, or the ultimate robot lion action of Voltron, if you were a kid, you were into robots that turned into something else.
THQ and World Events Productions are set to bring you back to the '80s with the release of a new Voltron game this fall.
Voltron: Defender of the Universe is a twin stick shooter based off of the 80’s cartoon of the same developed by Behaviour Interactive and published by THQ.
Hey you! Remember Voltron? No? Well, that’s hardly surprising. Unless you were born in the Seventies, chances are you have no idea what a Voltron is, let alone have the slightest desire to buy or play a game based on it. And trust us when we say that’s probably for the best.
A handful of Indie Games start the show with Avatar Trivia Party, Itza, Elfsquad7, Oozi: Earth Adventure Ep. 2, VolChaos, Orbitron: Revolution, and Dragons vs Spaceships. Sean takes a look at the XBLA take on an old favorite with Scene It? Movie Night and Craig and Sean both get nostalgic with Voltron. Jeremy plays Disneyland Adventures wrong, Sean gives an update on Saints Row: The Third, Jeremy continues his adventures in Skyrim, Craig has some problems with Goldeneye: Reloaded, and Jeremy not only has a hard time getting into Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, but is probably playing it wrong as well. The show closes with a glimpse into the life of Jeremy’s Skyrim character with the first episode of our new segment, The Pax Chronicles!
Wow...
And I'll form the head.
I vaguely remember that cartoon.
YES Please!!
I don't have high hopes for this game. I barely remember it, but I loved the TV show.
Lol, I watched an episode on Hulu last week. When I was younger, I think this was the first cartoon I had seen that actually had blood in it. But then again, the "real" unedited version of Johnny Quest episodes had blood too.
