Treyarch speaks about Black Ops bugs

The director of community Treyarch, Josh Olin, said the errors in the PlayStation 3 version of the game, are not exclusive, but cut across all platforms. Olin assured that everything is being done to remedy things.

Yup, actually, there are millions and millions of player with lots of problems with Black Ops multiplayer. I think it is a great game, but all this bugs are a little bit frustrating.

What I don't get is that they can fix problems with the 360 but not PC and PS3?

I mean PC and 360 both use DVD, so why is there so many problems with the PC?

This is the reason why I didn't buy this game, rented it but not buying it.

DVD? I downloaded from Steam. PC version is better than PS3 version in terms of connection issues but it still stutters and such whereas MW2 played perfectly on PC for me.

Thing is... games use to consist of shooting a pixel at a blob of pixels and then it would make some kind of 80's synth pop sound and explode into some kind of an x shaped thing and disappear.

The games then had like 500 lines of code and when a game rolled credits, if it had them, it consisted of like 2 or 3 titles. Programming - Art - Sound (maybe) and all 3 were usually the same guy.

Things are different now.

A modern game can have 1 million man teams and 3 trillion lines of code, utilizing 3rd party development tools. The sound department is now 57 times larger than previously thought possible by current science and the dump trucks of cash they shovel tirelessly into their underground lairs' furnace have become commonplace.

And when they aren't fighting the evils of used games and piracy, they are laying out their DLC strategy.

I'm sorry. We will survive this, I promise. If we don't... hey, at least we had a good run, right?

Most first party Nintendo games are excellent in not having bugs. All companies should learn from them. I hate this gen and their patching incomplete games.

mind the language but that just bullshit ALL my friends with the 360 version were SHOCKED to hear the problems that i had with my ps3 version and they said their experience was near flawless and ive seen it. it really is a world of difference

Microsoft just fucks Activision literally. I mean seriously, patches to fix the game come way later than it does for xbox. Glitches/hacks for xbox just get patched in the next day or so. Oh and I hate CoD just as much as the next person but I'll probably just end up buying the next CoD game. Zombies is the only good thing...BF3 better burry all the CoD games in the ground and hopefully no one digs it up.

There is almost nothing wrong with the Xbox 360 version, I've only experienced one freeze and no other major problems. I think it's a great game.
