GamingTrend - Stacking Review

GamingTrend - Lots of people think that writing reviews is just awesome – we play games all day, we knock out a few hundred words, smile, and just move on to the next game. That statement is a complete misconception – let me explain.

cant wait to play this, double fine rock

Rampaged Death4845d ago

Can't wait for it although I will play the trial before I go in for the purchase. It seems Double Fine have found what they are good at and that's releasing games for digital download.

grailly4845d ago

Nope, they are good at making original games, it's just that, these days, they are better suited for digital download.

I love double fine games, I hope that they continue making smaller games after the 4 they planned, I love being able to play 3-4 double fine games a year rather than 1 every 4 years. There really isn't anybody else in the industry making games like them.

thatgamecompany does a great job with original games and ideas.

grailly4845d ago

yeah, thatgamecompany is awesome, but in my mind I was referring to comedy games taking place in original universes.

There really aren't many comedy games, hothead and telltale do comedies, but I really don't like them as much.

Stacking was part of GwG last month (if I recall) and it is surprisingly fun.

Orchard1148d ago

Then I may have just hit 'install' instead of 'buy' due to my lack of Japanese knowledge :P

Father__Merrin1148d ago

Brutal Backlog - Stacking

Stacking was released in 2011 by Double Fine and remains one of their oddest and most intriguing titles. It's a puzzle game masking a serious message, but is it worth picking up today? Jump Dash Roll plays with some dolls before giving its opinion in this week's Brutal Backlog review.

Three more fresh faces arrive for Xbox backwards compatibility – Are they worth the return?

Carlos writes "March may not have provided equal delights when compared to that of February’s backward compatible arrivals, especially with great games such as GTA IV, Borderlands 2 and Hitman: Absolution arriving amongst the masses on Xbox One last month, but that doesn’t mean we’re any less content when new additions come to the program.

Today sees a fresh batch of titles join the fray, but with so many to choose from now, are they worth going back to or should they be left on the shelf forever more?"

Stacking was a lovely little game

Cobra9512609d ago

Yes, but it's not there yet for me. Bummer. Was looking forward to reliving that one today.

Pancit_Canton2609d ago

Yes. If you got nothing else to play.

Fist4achin2609d ago

Yawn. I don't get it. Xbox doesn't seem to want to open the purse strings to bring in new IPs and with the selection of bc games, you can't tell me developers wouldn't want to get more.money on old IPs. I'm sorry to say, but Xbox feels like they care less and less for the gamer's...
