IGN: Ninja Gaiden III - A Cut Above the Rest

Developer Team Ninja wants players to feel what it's like to cut someone for Ninja Gaiden III. IGN sits down with studio head Yosuke Hayashi to explain.

Just please don't dumb the 360 version down like the ps3 version for part 2. Keep the hardcore challenge aspect to it. Making the ps3 version of NG2 easier and replacing the blood with purple mist is possibly the dumbest move ever.

The self-censorship with Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma was just beyond stupid. It was THE reason why I never bought it.

I want my Ninja Gaiden hard, fair, and fucking violent!

"I want my Ninja Gaiden hard, fair, and fucking violent!"

Well put. That's what I want too. I also hope they improve the narrative and atmosphere, though.

Quote: Team Ninja Boss "Yosuke Hayashi" :
"In Ninja Gaiden III, you're going to experience something new regarding the feeling of cutting people. This is going to be new because you'll actually feel how it is to cut through someone; you'll feel the bones breaking. We're going to focus on the feeling of cutting someone more than dismembering them."

YES, YES, YES.... Ninja Gaiden 3 will be the most brutal Ninja game ever!!!!
yeeeeaaaahhhhhhhh :D :) D

They should have a toggle on and off option for the blood and such. Although missing body parts on the battle scene can't be help. I don't know, NG has always been about speed, but in NG3, you will have to take time to cut through enemies? Slower gameplay i guess? I hope that isn't the case.

...Reminds me of the days when Mortal Kombat released on Genesis & Nintendo, & Genesis was known as the "grown up" system, retaining the blood & gore,
While Nintendo got that gray stuff that sprayed out, which was later confirmed to be "sweat",
Lol.

I want see more blood this around Team Ninja for the PS3 version cause without it its not realistic enough to be called a Ninja Gaiden game, I wish Tomonobu Itagaki was there he would have gotten it right the first time with a lot blood/gore and bloodier dismemberment executions.

I swear if you fuck this up Team Ninja. I will lose all respect for you!

I know I'm probably the minority on this but I don't really care for many team ninja games. I can't think of one I actually really enjoyed. Ninja gaiden I liked but coulda did without, probably more a nostalgia thing on that.
