Nothing on the Unreal Engine will blow me away. The last time an Unreal Engine game on consoles blew me away visually was in 2006. Games on it look good most of the time, but they never look amazing.

Also listing Halo: CE remake is a bit presumptuous. There are no gameplay videos out along with HD screen shots of gameplay to look at. I'm sure that MS will make it look good, but there is no certainty as to whether or not it will "blow you away".

This is really just a list of 5 360 exclusives they are excited about.

i know its hard to believe but i actually use this site as an actual source of gaming news and i was interested to see what games are coming out for my 360 this year which will have some nice visualls in the same way i interested to see what games are coming out for my ps3. were not all fanboys and i was merely making the point that as soon as a 360 thread pops up which dares to mention nice visuals the ps3 fanboys are in "killzone 2this and uncharted that" its abit sad in my opinion.

I am in the same boat as you. I use this site for news and I own all three consoles. The thing is, if you say anything negative about any console and you are automattically labeled a fanboy and it really drives me crazy. If I want to come in here and talk honestly about visuals I should be able to, as a multi console owner, without being called a PS3 fanboy.

Ok, you may have your own eyes, but those eyes may be blind. But no matter how you put it: InFamous 2 looks incredible. It's a fact.
Considering the fact that it's an open world/sandbox style game with tons of things going on at once, seems to keep a steady framerate from what I've seen and seeing the vast improvement from the original is amazing.

Anyone who hasn't played a Halo game, just know that the hype surrounding it is made by Halo fans. The game...is made for Halo fans, it doesn't accomodate any other games mechanics. I know that can go for any game, but I'm trying to explain my thoughts on the franchise. Some people that are new to it may play it and like it. I like Halo also, but can't understand the hype. And the only way I can wrap my head around the hype is to just face it, you REALLY have to be a Halo fan.

Edit: I like Halo and I may not be explaining myself appropriately enough. Whats Halo's theme? "Keep it clean!"? Thats probably one of my biggest gripes. The aesthetic of Halo games is too sterile, too clean looking. I prefer the more organic, rugged look of Gears. I like the battle worn look of Reach's armor, but everything else is too clean looking like I said. That "clean" look works great for Mass Effect, Star Trek or Star Wars. There are so many things that fail in that list that its not even funny. There hasnt been any confirmation on a Halo reboot. Forza 4 will see some improvements but they wont be mindblowing. Gears 3 looks fantastic but its running on an outdated engine and it shows. XCOM is a multiplat. Codename Kingdoms might be a visually impressive game but we havent seen any gameplay footage of it so we really dont know what it will look like. The most impressive games are comming out on PC (2 bad my PC suxs) and PS3. These are just my thoughts so take it as you will

Yes i know that the Unreal Engine 3.0 has had a lot of updates added to it but it is still based on the Unreal engine 3.0. Your acting if all the unreal engines are based off the same engine when its not. I bought a laptop cause I needed something portable to study with and yes i know that desktops are way better than laptops but you cant carry a desktop all over the place. I live in a country with a 30% unemployment rate so currently i am not earning any money. I cant find a job anywhere. So tell me how am i suppose to be able to afford a gaming PC? I only have enough to pay my cars insurance and after that i wont have anything. Anyways once i get a job i am going to get a desktop for 1200€ which will be a monster PC yet have room for future upgrades. And this is my laptop in case your interested.

You seem to be hooked on the fact that they still call their engine "3.0". When they say 4.0 will that convince you? Some developers call their updates to their engines a new version (3.0->4.0) while other developers just keep updating a version and won't change the version till the new consoles come out. UE4.0 might be the version of the engine that is reserved for those new consoles.

You are hung up on a version number and not paying attention to actual effects, rendering techniques and so on being added to an engine.

a new AAA Rare game (perfect dark 2) could kick some serious ass visually. Look at Banjo n&b, the graphic engine is awesome.

I think project Draco (panzer dragoon creators) could be very impressive too.

Don't need to talk about Gears of war 3. 1st game was graphical standart on consoles, 2nd's too. 3rd will be mind blowing (new ligtning and vegetals effects are awesome)

Same for crytek's Kingdom, dev says the game will be more impressive than crysis 2 due to exclusivity...and crysis 2 is not ugly.

Forward to Forza 4 & especially Gears 3. Gears is gonna be a massive hit as long as they haven't ruined it in any way which I very much doubt. It's likely to be the best selling exclusive game this year.

Forza 4 needs to be shown. But will set be better than ps2 quality tracks and cars lol.

But damn Rage and Crisis 2 will show AMAZING graphics on the 360 that beats most games out there on either console.
