Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 is not a bad game, but it's a huge swing away from the first Rearmed, which was a masterpiece. What was once a platformer in a class of its own is now just another platformer. Jumping adds nothing to Bionic Commando.

First up is tongue-in-cheek dictator sim Tropico 5 – a fully-fledged city-building game set on a fictional island nation. Stepping into the boots of virtual dictator, El Presidente, you’ll guide and direct the everyday life of your beloved Tropicans. Farm llamas, build textiles plants, and occasionally concern yourself with the well-being of your residents, while secretly funneling money to your Swiss Bank Account. Tropico 5 also has four-player online multiplayer where you can battle it out with other would-be dictators online.
IGN are so biased lol
They got the review right. I've seen this kind of sequel before - it's a market research-driven sequel. Ask focus groups full of young people who don't get this type of game to come in, look at the game, and suggest what they want that's different. "Why can't he jump?" Okay, we'll make him jump. "This game is too hard." Okay, make it easier.
Soon, you have a game that doesn't make little Billy angry, but you have a game that doesn't appeal to anyone. I haven't bought and played this yet, but I don't want to - everything I've seen and heard about this looks like a piece of celery on plain melba toast compared to the individualistic, difficult, acquired taste of the punishing, habanero-charged first BC: Rearmed. The soul of the second game just looks like it was sucked out with Luigi's vacuum. Market research in gaming. Bleh on a stick.
I was very disappointed with the demo. I was hoping for some great side scroller action... but it's not even close to even a decent scroller.
