Conduit has life beyond Wii

Wii FPS series Conduit won't be tied to Nintendo's platform forever, developer High Voltage has told VideoGamer.com.

Asked if Conduit would be seen on additional platforms in the future, art director Matt Corso said, "sure, absolutely".

He added: "It won't end with the Wii. We're going to be around for a long time. Hopefully. That's up for the fans to decide."

Conduit's the only game I've spent a lot of time on on my brothers Wii, they should really make a Conduit 3DS. @sp1deynut, don't forget there making the grinder, and it's the xbots once again can't admit I'm speaking the truth and take another bubble, they didn't like what I said about Halo REACH and didn't think I'd even played it until I posted a screen shot of my gamer card and said anyone could add me.

EDIT: If they have, day one. My faith has been restored in Nintendo, There wouldn't be a Wii in my family house, which I'm hardly in if my brother didn't buy it.

They have made one haha. It's actually playable right now and Matt and Eric have hinted that they might show it at GDC this month.

...what other platform they could put it on, really. It would take a ground-up overhaul...or fresh start...engine-wise, to jump to PC/360/PS3. Outside of the Wii, the market is completely saturated with FPSs, and The Conduit would end up like so many before it: 6/10 review scores, and sent to the bargain bins to die within a few months. Maybe if it went the route of Section 8, and became a low-budget, low-priced, digital-only franchise, it MIGHT have a chance on Steam/XLBA/PSN.

I think the guy meant more along the lines of Nintendo systems, like the 3DS and the Wii's successor. I doubt they'll every put it on other companies' platforms because the fans are all Nintendo/Wii fans. They would have to start over again if they moved it to a different company's platform and like you said, the other systems are already flooded with shooters, so I doubt they'll move it.

The article clearly says "won't be tied to Nintendo's platforms". Could it be any clearer?

Shok4846d ago

Correction, it says "Nintendo's PLATFORM", not 'platformS'. It was talking about the Wii.

"Could it be any clearer?"

lol Conduit doesn't stand a chance on other consoles! They're crazy if they think they can compete with Killzone 3, Crysis 2, Brink, Rage, Resistance 3, and whatever other FPS you're interested in on PS3/PC/360.

Splatoon 2 Shows Off What Wii Shooters Should Have Been

There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
