Ubisoft eggs 12-year-olds on to play "kinky challenge", "sexy game"

It's a seemingly low budget title called "We Dare" and it's going to be available soon-ish on the PS3 and Wii for £19.99 in the UK. The official blurb is: "We dare is a sexy, quirky, party game that offers a large variety of hilarious, innovative and physical, sometimes kinky, challenges. The more friends you invite to party, the spicier the play!" Screen capture below.

One mother, speaking to TechEye, says: "I really think that's wrong. They shouldn't be using the word sexy for 12 year olds, let alone kinky. I'm sure most parents would agree."

And people wonder why our children are so F@#ked up! It's startling how quickly values are dying in this nation.

I don't mind kinky games but DON'T target them at CHILDREN!

Children are fucked up because parents aren't doing their jobs properly, not because of kinky games.

darthawesome904832d ago

@ ambientFLIER....True but it doesn't help when it's targeted at children. It's not like a porno where it's obviously raunchy or GTA (Obviously bad...killing, theft, etc.)

@ambientFLIER

It's doesn't have to be one or the other. Many things factor into the behavior of kids, including things like this game and tv shows.

People like to blame a problem on just ONE person or ONE thing, when in reality MANY things contribute to most problems.

blumatt4832d ago

Wow. Now this is a true swinger's type game. haha

Apollyn4832d ago

Oh dear God.... how low can they go?

darthawesome904832d ago

Just wondering how long until we're like Sodom and Gomorrah. Even if you don't believe in God there's no denying we're heading in that direction.

blumatt4832d ago

Yeah it's not looking good, guys. Just don't look back at the burning city, lest you be turned into a pillar of salt. You've been warned.

Ravenor4832d ago

I do admit the idea behind the game and how it's being marketed is pretty ridiculous. Your idea that the world is somehow more...lewd then it was before is more then laughable. Things are just easier to access now, but don't think for a second the world is less "decent" now then any other time in history.

How naive can you be?

lazyking904832d ago (Edited 4832d ago )

Good point but looking back 60 years to the 50's many of the commercials, books, music and games we have now would have been heavily frowned upon.

While this type of marketing has always existed it has never been so accepted since Roman times in the west. We are less decent than other times in history in some ways. Tell me what western nation has ever really accepted their children sleeping around, especially when it comes to their daughters. Videogames like this are not helping preserve values.

Ravenor4832d ago (Edited 4832d ago )

Frowned upon or not, it was always still around.

In the 90's a local Toronto tv station used to play Porn after 12am, people complained and eventually they pushed it back later and then eventually removed it. The same happened with some Canadian Specialy movie channels, they also play porn at a later hour now (It's a subscriber channel so don't get your panties in a bunch).

So does that support the theory we're heading down some deep black hole, where we'll be sitting down to watch the 6pm interracial gangbang with the Family?

It's not societies responsibility to talk to kids about sex, their sexuality and just the right and wrong times to have sex. Parent's it's time to buck up and be proper role models, teach your kids right from wrong and then maybe the religious nuts will stop threatening everyone.

@Disagree

Oh I'm sorry, Blumatt didn't say; "You've been warned" eff you. Your values aren't our values, your values don't matter to me, your morals don't matter to me. Outside of your homes and your places of worships it's all null and moot how you believe and think other people should live their lives. Try living your own instead of worrying about other people's.

I guess this is replacing spin the bottle eh? haha or 7 minutes in heaven which ever. What's it rated?
