I love the picture with Alex and the destroyed Citidel. I need to find it larger so I can make it my background.

mighty_douche6077d ago

if your a console gamer and havent played half-life 2 on the pc then THIS is the FPS you should be excited about. HL2 + episode 1 + episode 2 + TF + protal! now thats value for money!

I will get excited about orange box when it is less than a week a way too. In the meanttime, Halo it is.

How does the PC version on The Orange Box compare to the console versions? I'm not sure which one to get.

mighty_douche6077d ago (Edited 6077d ago )

contents wise they're the same, but personally id say if you have a pretty good pc then go for that, its got many advantages over the console versions...

better graphics
keyboard and mouse (a must for FPS)
MODS MODS MODS (hundreds of HL2 mods already available)

i could go on but i think you get the point.

edit @ DarthNihilus, lol cheers dude

ShiftyLookingCow6077d ago

yeah only $10 difference. I guess it comes down to whether you prefer mouse and kb or gamepad. The game is going to look the same(except for resolution of course)

ShiftyLookingCow6077d ago

oh yes I forgot mods. Mighty_Douche said it better.

Rooted_Dust6077d ago

Do you get the Orange box Themed Peggle game? It's a fun little casual game, but it is completely addicting. Also If you get the Orange box on Steam now you can play the Beta of TF2, which is really the whole game, but possibly with bugs.

Vip3r6077d ago

My PC ain't too bad. I got it in early 05 and runs HL2 up full pretty well. O steam it will cost £25~ but on the PS3 it will be about £40. Will the console versions have deidcated servers or P2P?

mighty_douche6077d ago (Edited 6077d ago )

hmmm thats a tricky one, obviously i cant give a defo answer but heres my prodiction. i would of thought that the ps3 will have dedicated servers for TF2 (dont know if you get half-life2 deathmatch or not), i doubt the xbox will. see this is another benefit of the pc, there are hundreds of dedicated servers all with different options and game modes to choose from.

hmmm well if your pc can only just handle half-life 2 id personally go for the console version, as both episode 1 + 2 have advanced features such as HDR lighting which your pc will really really struggle with, and lets be honest if your playing this fabulous game you want it to look its best, i think you said you have a ps3? id go for that version, its coming out a few weeks later i think but this game is totally worth the wait!

edit : viper, no worries mate, happy to help, better than working!

Vip3r6077d ago

Thanks for the replys douche. HDR EP1 runs well on my PC but I'm sure it will still be better on the PS3. Bubbles for your helpful advice.

mighty_douche6077d ago (Edited 6077d ago )

is easily the best gun in a game to date! and i dont wanna spoil it for you but near the end of the game the grav gun gets how should i say... 'upgraded', and your gonna love it!!

edit @ iNcRiMiNaTi, lol dude trust me your excitment is justified, ive played pretty much ever FPS going and this is at the top of my list, your in for one hell of a time, i kinda wish its was new for me again now! cheers for the bubble but i seem to stick on 5 no matter what!

iNcRiMiNaTi6077d ago (Edited 6077d ago )

O_O!...i know what it can do, or at least what its supposed to do, but....upgraded??....u just brought my exitement level for this game up a notch ....bubblez

Infamous Video Game Endings That Left a Bad Taste

The most disappointing and infamous video game endings even sour the overall thoughts of a game. Most of these titles represent some of the finest entries in their respective series, marred by an ending we can't quite forgive.

Far Cry 5....bullshit. This game had a great ending imo.

MrNinosan37d ago

There is no game called Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2, but Rebirth had a great ending imo. Felt robbed by the ending at first, but the more I've seen it and during my 3rd playthrough, I started to understand and realize a lot more that make me appreciate the ending.

Nerdmaster36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

I was enjoying FFVII Remake, even though those whispers throughout the game were annoying. But the ending was so bad that I don't even want to play Rebirth. On top of that, from what I saw on reviews, the ending of Rebirth is even worse.

Also, I'm glad to see Zero Time Dilemma being recognized as the trainwreck it is. After the amazing two first games (especially the near perfect second one), the low quality of the trilogy end is baffling. The new characters are bad, the old characters don't feel like themselves, a surprise "alien technology" pops out of nowhere, the big twist was like "eh?", and it doesn't really finish the story nor explains the loose threads from the second game.

Apex Legends set a high bar in fps mobility. I think new games are now required to have some good mobility options.
