MediaKick Review: Zeit²

MediaKick writes:

"Back in 2009, Zeit² caught my attention after some footage of the game in development at the Independent Games Festival. Dubbed then as the first single player coop game where the player plays both roles, it certainly was a standout. Considering it went on to become a Finalist for the Student Showcase it’s not hard to understand why. With so many around nowadays, a side scrolling shoot‘em up really needs to differentiate itself to warrant my gaming time. By doing something both unique, different and ingenious, Zeit² definitely fit the bill."

I find this list's lack of Espgaluda love disturbing. :D

The lack of shmups nowadays is disheartening.

The PS4 did had a shmup as a launch game. Like everything else there are tons upon tons of shmups on PC. Check out Steam store type shmup and be amazed. Check out those browser gaming sites like kongregate it has Shmups. Is that consoles nowadays are all about cinematic action/adventure games

PlayDevil: Zeit2 review

Is Zeit pure Zeitgeist?

Here is a snippet:

"Lack of story aside Zeit² brings a lot to the table. Numerous mechanics litter the game layered on top of the usual avoid/shoot gameplay of similar titles. Most striking among these is the time manipulation, which allows time to be fast forwarded or reversed using the trigger buttons. While the forward power is primarily used just to amass extra points (scores are higher when time is accelerated) the reverse ability introduces a great deal more and is essential to successfully navigate the game."
