Jesus christ all these things should have been fixed before it got released!

You really can't "Fix" the issues with the RC-XD or AK-74U without having an open beta, which would not really have been the best idea for keeping the details and hype up on this game. If it were released in Beta, it probably would have gotten a worse reputation for not looking as good, nor generally playing as well as Modern Warfare 2.

Then tell me why old games like Perfect Dark, Unreal Tournament (1999 version), many old PS2 games, Killzone 3, Gears of war, etc etc had a perfect balance in weapons BEFORE it has been patched?

Treyarch / Infinity Ward really have to release a new CoD every 2 years, even it they cant make, they will just relly on patches

I think you mean Killzone 2, which DID have a beta test program. Also, Gears of War 2 HAD a beta program, and Gears of War 3 will also have one.

Just a correction there.

^True that. totally didnt think about that.

And yeah i meant killzone 2.
Killzone 3 had a bit of balancing issues with the guns. Which are being fixed now because it had a beta.

If only CoD did beta's..

Does this update remove the laggy servers?

Apocwhen4859d ago

There are no servers other than those that process the matchmaking. Games are hosted using p2p crap. That's why 90% of hosted games suck, because not everyone has > 1mb upload connection.

ReBurn4859d ago (Edited 4859d ago )

wesley, those old PS2 games didn't always have perfect balance in their weapons before they were released. It's that people learned to live with the imbalances as a mechanic of the game, and we developed strategies that minimized the impact.

Also, when it came to shooters on the PS2 there wasn't exactly as much emphasis on the multiplayer aspects because multiplayer wasn't as prevalent. But even with local multiplayer, everyone was typically on a level playing field with access to the same levels of firepower.

They also made it so when zombies hit you you don't get moved at all.. and if a zombie dies without you killing it it just respawns until you actually kill it.

i play BO regularly but that picture.....that picture is epic

Buho4859d ago

LOL! I still play Black Ops but ONLY for zombies. I gave up on the competitive multi-player. Too frustrating(lag, hit detection, host advantage etc).

I haven't tried this online yet. I received the game at Christmas and had only played zombies splitscreen and tonight I finished the campaign.

Looks like I didn't miss anything in terms of online. I understand there were some issues that are now better. Good to know. I know with every single other Call of Duty release, for a good month or so after it launched there were all kinds of online problems - so this time I wasn't in much of a hurry to jump online. Looking forward to giving it a try, though.

Black Ops 1 Nuketown versus Cold War Nuketown '84

From DownSights: "Black Ops is not Black Ops without Nuketown. Following the tradition of releasing Nuketown for Black Ops games, the new Black Ops Cold War game also offers a revamped Nuketown called Nuketown '84.

Nuketown '84 has the same dimensions and map layout except for the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics have changed to fit the 80s theme, with destroyed buildings and graffiti-filled walls compared to a clean 50s suburban neighborhood seen in Black Ops 1."
