Modern Combat Domination is a budget priced first person shooter that’s a cross between Black Ops and Counterstrike. In the Call of Duty tradition, playing levels up the character and unlocks new pieces of equipment, but you’ll also earn cash in battle that lets you purchase weapons, grenades and body armor. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to pass the time, so long as you remain alive.

Mario writes "Last year Gameloft decided they wanted a piece of the cake and joined the wave of companies releasing FPS games. They did a little game called Modern Combat: Domination, or as i like to call it, the poor man Modern Warfare."
Modern Combat Domination certainly is fun for a couple of hours, however it certainly IS NOT a poor mans Call of Duty, the game is clearly based on Counter Strike, hence why it does not have a campaign mode, and uses money to buy weapons each respawn. I am disgusted by the fact that everyone uses Modern Warfare as an argument for Modern Combat, as if they only see the whats on the surface instead of the gameplay mechanics that drive the game. Not a single mention of Counter Strike in that review, instead it's just MW and BF over and over, get your facts straight and do some research. And what's with the crappy grammar and typos? I is spelled with a capital i, and the host HAS not HAVE!
TheParanoidGamer: "Today, Gameloft have sent out PSN messages to those who have downloaded Modern Combat: Domination Demo. For a limited time only you can purchase the game for just $2.99. That’s a $5 saving!!"
I got that message in my XMB earlier. Cool deal I guess. For people who want to play the game.
I got the message too. Still not sure if it's worth it. I figure if they are trying to sell it for that price, it's only a matter of time before it's free with PS+.
hehe for some reason i bought this when it first came out for $6. the game is good but dont think ive played it in like 5 months.

"Modern Combat: Domination is preparing to launch on the Mac Store later this month. Domination is a no-nonsense online first person shooter from Gameloft, focusing mainly on its refined gameplay and match types. The game originally launched in January as a downloadable title for the PlayStation 3, sporting impressively accurate Move integration, standing evidence of Gameloft’s great quality, great value initiative."
well if it isn't freezing PS3s, than it is definitely more playable than COD:BO :DD
Hmm, would 3/5 be equivalent to 6/10...if so then I'll pass on this game until I hear from the gamers themselves.
i dont get the CoD comparison...if anything, the gameplay resembles Counter Strike more than CoD
I played the demo too, has a weight feeling to it, would be even better if it zooms out a bit.
For a budget game its good.
this is a really good game for $8 u cant beat it, i would rather have this for 8 bucks then pay 60 for a game that's is almost unplayable, the game just take some time getting used to and its still new, and gameloft have said that they are going to support this game like crazy which means that a lot of the little flaws will be fixed with patches and there will be dlc, so give it a chance, i would give it a 4/5 or a 8/10
