EuroGamer: Interplay reckons it could end up developing the sixth Fallout game if Bethesda successfully prevents it from releasing Fallout Online.
Speaking exclusively to Eurogamer, Interplay president Eric Caen said his company was "ready to fight for years if necessary" in the high-profile legal battle with Bethesda over the future of the in-development post-apocalyptic MMO.

I'll sue you!
After reading that, it just seems like Bethesda's saying they don't want Interplay stealing ideas, or taking things Bethesda created for their Fallout games. Interplay sold them what was left of Fallout, and only asked to be able to continue work on their MMO. But I think Bethesda is fighting because they never agreed for Interplay to be allowed to take and use Bethesda's ideas/materials created for their games for use in Interplay's MMO.
This seems far too complex for me, but as much as I felt the need to be on Interplay's side in the first chunk of the article, after reading that one line Bethesda stated, it's hard to look at Interplay as if they're the good guys.
Oh well, not like I really enjoyed Fallout games myself. I'm more or less just interested in it for the sake of a good debate.
I think Bethesda should let Interplay release the MMO. Is it really worth it to potentially losing the IP over an MMO. MMO's are expensive to run and people who play Fallout like the single player experience might not be interested in the game.
Let Interplay keep the MMO, Bethesda, don't lose the IP over this. You've done great with it so far. Keep it up.
I think Bethesda should not lose the IP or the MMO which I don't really want anyway. Bethesda should pay Interplay another "Fuck off" fee and Interplay should walk away. From what I have seen from the agreement the signed is that Interplay are only allowed use the the name for an MMO and not anything else from the Fallout Universe. Unfair? yes Is there a legal case here? They signed the contract so its there fault for not being more specific about what they wanted.
A walk away and don't bother us with this crap payment from Bethesda to Interplay is more than deserved here. Bethesda have done an amazing job with Fallout and Interplay's part in the Fallout world is done. Walk away.
