Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game sets sail May 2011

Disney may have sunk Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, but the franchise will still hit the high seas of retail next spring with Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game in May. The latest adaptation to be built on TT Games' Lego foundation will launch on all major consoles, portable game systems and PC, right alongside the upcoming film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Hell yeah I knew it was gonna happen

I dont mind it, I think it will be awesome... hopefully. I really loved Lego Star Wars. Lego Harry Potter was great too. Didn't like Lego Indiana Jones and never even bothered to play Lego Batman. But hopefully Lego pirates will be fun. Same with Lego clone wars... so many lego games but damn they're usually pretty fun. And they're easy achievements/trophies lol.

Aaarrrggghhhh! to that me harties.

harv0524861d ago

I'll disagree on those trophies/achievements, they're terribly glitched....Played through Lego Harry Potter 3 times and the game glitched every time....

I platinumed LEGO Indiana Jones 2 after several try on 1 or 2 particular trophies which didn't appear where it should! was looking forward to LEGO Harry Potter but also read that it's also glitchy at certain point. definitely looking forward to this as well! LEGO games are here for casual fun and I love them!

I want lego street fighter & lego dead space..

^

Lego Battlefield or Lego COD maybe lol...

Imagine Lego Gears, or Lego Killzone... Total awesomeness.

Lego legitimately makes games better

Lego and Disney are a bad combination for my taste.
I prefer marvel/dc universe characters or something around it like Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

But lego pirates of the caribbean is actually not bad..not bad at all

Quagmire4861d ago

I'd rather have Armada of the Damned over this crap...

They should be worried. They we told they were free to be creative to dev. a walking sim, and now Phil and the Lady are walking that back.

solideagle14m ago

let's look at the other side of the coin. why did HellBlade 2 which is a short game took more than half a decade to develop? If a game is taking millions upon millions to make then expectations will grow and when those expectations fail to meet then decisions are made.

I am not defending MS here, above is just my humble opinion.

Everything they bought is at risk, Game Pass is NEVER going to be able to support all the development for these studios while also maintaining any kind of catalog of new games.

If it wasn't supporting itself before they bought all these studios it's obviously not going to be able to support even more.

Helldivers 2 Dev Wants It To Be Available Worldwide, Restrictions Are From PlayStation & Not Steam

To be clear though, Steam does not restrict use of their platform in any country. So, to say that Sony delisted games in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, and other similar regions is disingenuous. The taliban doesn't allow video games in Afghanistan.

There are many restrictions in many countries. Painting this as a false dichotomy of Sony or Valve ignores all other layers of what is going on.

Just be honest in your journalism about what countries are left out. Those countries should a) have internet access b) allow the game.

There's literally almost 170 countries and mentioned 3, and Taliban banned PUBG only, do you seriously think that these countries that had games all this time, suddenly decided to ban games when Sony wanted to put PSN as a restriction

anast1h ago

Sony would be stupid to let valve run the show. They would be bad at business if they did that.
