NWR: "I generally look forward to any fitness game review copies that come my way. I’m not much of a gym rat, and I also dislike running for fun. I do, however, really enjoy games. So, in my mind, the fusion of games and working out is rather stellar. I’ve tried Wii Fit and EA Sports Active in the past, to middling success. As evidence, you can check out my failed “Six Weeks of Active” feature from late 2009, when I thought it’d be a good idea to start working out during the holidays. I learned from my lesson, and I sat on EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp for a few weeks so I wouldn’t start playing it and then fail miserably as I endured the stressful and busy holiday season. I finally started using the game last week, and it has been a good experience so far. However, there are some odd quirks that hold it back from being a truly awesome product."
Just in time for the Super Bowl, Gameplaybook reviews EA Sports' ultimate NFL football workout program for Wii.
From GamingTarget.com: "Jack LaLanne, known for his unbelievable feats of strength (listed below) and tireless encouragement of exercise, has died today at the age of 96. Although we'd all like to last that long and look so fit into our 70s, 80s and 90s, we don't want to stop playing video games. LaLanne encouraged America's youth to get up off the couch and put down the controller, but here are some video games we think he'd approve."
Remove the ps3 from the tags if it says nothing about the ps3 or games on it :P Otherwise, nice article! Would have liked to see some examples of games for the ps3 aswell though :)
Jack Lalanne just rolled over in his grave at you using his death for nothing more than hits. Tsk.
The EA Sports Active franchise has carved out a successful fitness-focused niche on the Wii, motivating players the world around to take the remote and nunchuk in hand and work up a sweat. While previous games have been about general fitness, the latest entry in the Active roster boasts a more specific theme and the official license of a professional sport.
