Lace Mamba Global to Publish Darkstar-The Interactive Movie

Lace Mamba Global have announced that it will be publishing Darkstar- The Interactive Movie, a Science Fiction adventure game for PC and Mac, developed by J. Allen Williams at Parallax Studio, in 2011. Darkstar, both an adventure game and an interactive movie, features more than thirteen hours of Full Motion Video sequences which is more animated footage than any other game in history and has over two-dozen alternate endings.

Darkstar the Interactive Movie developed by Parallax Studios, immediately leaps out with a barrage of character that sets it apart from the crowd. The Darkstar feels like a love letter written to fans of classic Sci-Fi and live action gaming of the 90s, sadly the game is also over a decade late.

BeefJack: "Whatever shred of curiosity piqued by the mystery of the Westwick and the Darkstar cannot overcome absolutely everything else that’s wrong. The movie is bogged down by the needs of the game, and what little game there is restricts the potential ironic enjoyment of the movie. When you compare it to today’s approach to cinematic games, it’s clear why Darkstar’s method has been forgotten: it’s not really a game at all, and there’s certainly nothing else going for it."

Darkstar - The Interactive Movie is coming to the UK

GameSnark writes: "DARKSTAR – an adventure game and interactive movie all rolled into one – is coming to the UK in Q2 2011. DARKSTAR promises to be something a little different for PC & Mac players. The game has been received fairly warmly in the States... though 1UP's Frank Cifaldi has given it some (well-meaning) ribbing on their Games Dammit! podcast recently. Perhaps the most interesting aspect to the project is that it includes the original cast of the American cult television comedy series “Mystery Science Theater 3000” and features the last performance of Peter Graves (of Mission Impossible & Airplane fame)"
