3D PC Gaming Without Glasses

Oh boy, this is such a relief: the technological revolution we’ve all been waiting for is here. All you need to see and play steroscopic 3D games on any PC is a 120 Mhz monitor and a tiny pair of non-obtrusive gizmos created by French inventor Francois Vogel. No more stupid plastic spectacles, no more colour-dimming polarised lenses. This is going to change gaming forever. This is going to change the world forever

Id rather have glasses then have my eyes flicker like that lol.

I'd rather just wait for the displays that do it all on their own :)

PS, this is fake. This guy does commercials for HP as well as other random things.

Guys guys ... this thing is old ... new technique makes you see totally immersive 3d when ur eyes are permanently removed from your sockets.

PS.. I was reading comments on this youtube video ... Swear to god some ppl are dumb as fcuk ... theyd believe in anything. Sometimes I think ... Idiocracy writer or director should have got the noble prize because he has already showed us how future will be like.

not me... i'm not waiting on displays that do it on their own. it'll be 5-10 years before they get it right and cheap enough to warrant a purchase. As of now, autostereoscopic image quality sucks (you lose resolution), and it has a very bad viewing angle problem where you must be within a certain distance and dead center to the TV to see the (not as good as with glasses) 3D effect. Add to that banding that appears if you move your head while viewing (think screen tearing times 100), and it's just not worth the super high price tag for what turns out to be a 3D effect that isn't even comparable to that with glasses. I'll buy a glasses based $1500 3DTV and enjoy it now instead.

RPS is great. Their editors usually have a great sense of humor and they cover more than just the big name games.

I will absolutely follow them. It’s very well done.
