XMNR: Microsoft released another wave of video apps to the Xbox 360 on Tuesday that includes UFC on Xbox LIVE and VUDU for the United States.
UFC app is pretty cool! I think the app deserves achievements though. Definitely would add a little competition between friends that use the app.
They need to fix the Youtube app. There are alot of videos we cant access. They need to patch that shit up! And make those said videos accessible.
“Cutting the cord” was a popular phrase among tech nerds in 2010. The practice of cancelling cable or satellite service and relying on streaming television will become even more popular in 2011. There are several reasons for this. A lot of people are still struggling financially and it’s cheaper to go with streaming. It’s fashionable among hipster douchebags to rely on modern services. And most importantly, streaming movies and TV shows on gaming consoles has gotten really, really good.
High-def video streaming service Vudu is taking their game to the next level: they'll start streaming 3D movies to compatible devices next week.
Movie streaming operator Vudu has always aimed at the high end of the video streaming market with high-definition offerings, and now at CES the company has announced it will take its game to the next level: Vudu will begin streaming 3D movies to compatible devices beginning next week—and manufacturers will be rolling out more devices that support 3D content from Vudu throughout 2011. Devices supporting Vudu 3D content will include 3D HDTVs and Blu-ray players from a number of manufacturers, as well as the PlayStation 3 and the Boxee Media Software.
...on par with RedBox I'd be an instant convert. The quality of the movies is very good, the streaming is very clean, but the only thing I don't like is the fastforward and rewind feature. Otherwise Vudu is very nice and them having a handful of movies before theater release is pretty cool.
What will they get into next? It was really scary when they almost got permission to open their open bank.
