Co-Optimus - Since our last time visiting with Deathspank he had a buddy with him - a goofy little wizard named Sparkles. Shortly after completing and thoroughly enjoying the first game, Deathspank makes a triumphant return in a sequel that feels an awful lot like an expansion Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue. Still vanquishing evil, assisting the downtrodden, and battling some pretty outlandish characters, Deathspank has changed settings and sidekicks - and that’s about it.
The Eccentric Gamer: "In the spirit of the festive season, some of us want to slay Santa in glorious battle. Santa Claus, Kris Kringle, St. Nick. Whatever you might call him, you have probably never heard of Thong-Weaver Santa.
Here is our top 5 list of games where Santa comes out to play, delivering some whoop-ass in the process."
The North Pole Arena in Twisted Metal 2 had a few Santas you could merk. Ahh the memories!
Hardcore Gamer: Paying anything over $1 gets you a Steam key for DeathSpank, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, and Penny Arcade's On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode One. Paying $6 or more gets you Episode Two and The Baconing. OSTs are DeathSpank and Episode One are included with every purchase.
"Ever since games got more complex, there have been fairly odd tasks you can perform. Some of these have a use while some are just Easter eggs and others just are out of place. After trophies/achievements came into play, some games assigned an award for these tasks. While not every task is off the wall weird, some are worth noting and we’ve compiled five of the pretty random trophies we could find" - JPS
the weirdest achievement I've encountered is when I was playing MGS HD Collection. I have to kiss a poster of a sexy girl in the locker lol
I thought tying a lady to the traintracks and waiting for the train in RDR was the weirdest one for me.
Boo... DeathSpank is so much fun. This score angers me.
Exactly what BALT says. DeathSpank is nothing short of amazing. From it's gorgeous visuals, to it's hilarious plot and lenghty epic gameplay, DS is definitely some of the best the PSN/XBL has to offer. I played the hell out of it. About 9 hours to complete all the mission and get all the trophies. This sequel is even longer. Not seeing DeathSpank get any love in the wards is a sad disgrace, cuz this series won my personl Best Downloadable Game of the Year
Way, way off. This review is as absurd as DeathSpank wearing a thong is. This series is bar none the absolute best of the best when you're speaking digitally distributed gaming. There are some just as good, but none that are any better or more quality.
Someone told me to get the 1st one because I only really like older games (nes, arcade, gen) -- I didn't put it down for a week. I got every trophy for it and loved every second of it. I got the 2nd one the day it came out but still haven't had a chance to sit down with it past the 1st 30 min I believe.
As someone who isn't a gamer, this game is good enough to swing you over the other way for a week or two. Trust me.
I love Deathspank, but I'm holding off on getting this DLC. I heard there were some quest/save -breaking glitches...anyone know if they got fixed yet?
