Electronic Arts Inc. today announced a competition through which Asian gamers stand a chance to win a prize trip* to London to watch Chelsea play Wigan in the Barclays Premier League – just by playing EA SPORTS FIFA Online 2! Winners will also get to go behind the scenes to observe a Chelsea first team training session and tour the famous Stamford Bridge Stadium.
Korean game company Neowiz filed a lawsuit against EA Korea over FIFA Online, reports Korean site Gamemeca. Neowiz co-developed FIFA Online 2, which became a big hit and accounted for 15 per cent of Neowiz’s total sales.
According to the news from Korean media, the popular soccer MMO FIFA Online 3 from Nexon has surpassed its prequel FIFA Online 2 in three days since its official launch, which has attracted wide attention from the media.
It seems that 2012 is a wonderful G-Star year for Neowiz, with a large group of fans. However, in fact, things did not went out smoothly for G-Star. Having been involed in a messy court fight with developer Smilegate over the closure of online shooter CrossFire, the company got into another trouble after EA Seoul signed FIFA Online 3 to Nexon. FIFA Online 2 will be closing on 31st March 2013 after the contract with EA ends, and it has become inevitable.
