Metro 2033 go an Honorable mention! I love that game.

velocitygamer4893d ago

Huh? Only 2 games on that list? At least replace Black Ops with Reach or MAG ffs...

MAG!

^Metro 2033 is good one. Better than Bioshock 1&2, imo.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 was heads and shoulders above the rest imo. No other FPS game this year(this gen) offers the same tactical aspect of FPS, gaming with both water, land and airbased vehicles to boot. And the sound effects. The SOUND EFFECTS...!

Yup, agreed. Vietnam pretty much sealed the deal for me.

What a terrible article. Just two main 'awards' and four honorable mentions.

Can't have too many "best" games, otherwise they wouldn't be the "best".

MAG - if you like a bit of brains, teamwork and tactics, and hugely exciting gameplay, then its the FPS of the year.

Hopefully they sold enough for MAG 2. Sadly, will not happen before end-2012 at the earliest as the team is busy on Socom 4.

Black Ops 1 Nuketown versus Cold War Nuketown '84

From DownSights: "Black Ops is not Black Ops without Nuketown. Following the tradition of releasing Nuketown for Black Ops games, the new Black Ops Cold War game also offers a revamped Nuketown called Nuketown '84.

Nuketown '84 has the same dimensions and map layout except for the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics have changed to fit the 80s theme, with destroyed buildings and graffiti-filled walls compared to a clean 50s suburban neighborhood seen in Black Ops 1."
