"its upcoming game based on DC Comics' popular hero Green Lantern, which will release alongside film adaptation The Green Lantern."

that is all you need to know that this game will be bad and more than likely very bad.

aCasualGamer4870d ago

True... The Wolverine videogame was quite good though, not bad but not great either. It was playable.

I hope this one atleast gets the same or more treatment than Wolverine videogame, that would mean a playable game. The same can't be said about the marvel videogames, i.e. Iron Man and upcoming Capt. America.

@DanCrabtree

I'm pretty sure this isn't Green Hornet... it's Green Lantern, where Ryan Reynolds is the lead actor and not Seth Rogen.

Baka-akaB4870d ago (Edited 4870d ago )

i believe wolverine wolverine was only half decent because it wasnt originally developped as a movie tie-in .

otherwise meh ... there is no way anything good can come of a game done with so little dev time as movie tie-ins

FrankMcSpank4870d ago (Edited 4870d ago )

The only reason the Wolverine game was playable was it started out as a seperate original game like Arkham Asylum did. But once the game was started the production company forced the devs to make it into a movie-game. The movie is a mediocre PG-13 flick. The game is a gorefest and was going to be a much better and more violent game. The Green Lantern game is a fail from the beginning.

EDIT: @Baka-akaB
Ahh bro, you beat me to it...lol

DanCrabtree4870d ago

Crap, does this mean the character will be based on Seth Rogan? That would be the worst.

Gambit074870d ago

Green Lantern not Green Hornet.

DanCrabtree4870d ago

Haha, truth. That was dumb on my part.

Either way, Seth Rogan should never be in a video game.

Soul Train4870d ago

Batman and Green Lantern are the two best DC super heroes of all time. Too bad this game will suck. Batman however won't suck.

amlabella4870d ago

Never was much of a Green Lantern guy but I'll keep my eye on this.

J_oneal234870d ago

Will be awesome once I get to change Green Lanterns costume to "classic" GL.

They really mean they are pivoting to slot machines on mobile devices.

I don’t think there ever was a time for GaaS. Its entire resistance is revolved around making a game that generates recurring revenue constantly throughout its lifetime. It’s straight up a corporate scumbag design.

I watched the video seeing if anything changed since the initial Suicide gameplay vid before the delay and it looks the same. So weird watching all the characters just start a gun to their back and bounce super high shooting with no kick-back animation in an empty dead world. The voice acting is cringe and there doesn’t have any sense of atmosphere or immersion like the Arkham games.

And they expect you to pay $70 to $100 for this and then pay more for Battle Passes and items to make grinding less a chore. Yea, no thank you. I hope you learn a hard lesson with this one.

so dumb haha.

Genius executives at work. "hey, what we're doing is working great. Let's change it."

LOGICWINS178d ago

"Invasions" is technically free live service game with new content every 45 days. It's the best mode MK has ever had IMO. As a single player gamer, it gives me a reason to stick around after the story mode.

garos82177d ago

You have a terrible taste in games

-Foxtrot177d ago

I feel like their whole approach relies on how the Suicide Squad sells

Wait....why does live service = bad?

Oh great, looking forward to the sh*t future of gaming. Thanks industry!

PunksOnN4G178d ago

New mk sold less then the last in the same time frame the NEW MK is legit a live service game with its horrible monopoly board. I just wanted a normal title...

FatalityX77178d ago

It's not on older hardware, so that's why it seems less. No ps4/xbox one versions.

Sgt_Slaughter177d ago

I doubt older hardware would make a difference, given the ratios of sales of other multi-gen games

PunksOnN4G177d ago

Nah the new MK full of live service shit even the singleplayer monopoly board they gave use instead of a normal kyrpt says enough and sales reflect that also this MK is very combo heavy it not noob friendly what's so ever like others

Flewid638177d ago

Wasn't the last one a live service game?

MehmetAlperTR177d ago

More live services.. LOL.. i hope you ll see the deep.
