Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money Review (Hooked Gamers)

Dead Money takes place within the Mojave wasteland. You are drawn towards an old Brotherhood of Steel bunker by a strange radio signal explaining the delights and joys of a casino named the Sierra Madre. You are invited to the gala opening of the casino and promised a very fruitful life and stay. What you don’t know is that this recording was recorded before the war that devastated the world and soon you are led into a trap. Within the abandoned bunker you are gassed and knocked unconscious, and it’s all downhill from there.

Was actually looking forward to this DLC when it hit the PS3, but judging from all of the negative reviews, I doubt I'll be picking it up...

TheDarkness4873d ago

True. And it comes out 9 months later for psn. I hate when microsoft does this

I bought it, worth every cent. It pushes you to use different tactics, mostly stealth and awareness before making your next move. It's not a dlc where you can just run and gun it, it's hard for this very reason.

"Dead Money falls flat on its face trying to live up to their reputation; it attempts to be too much."

Attempts to be too much? Lolwut. More or less the person was expecting too much from dlc.

agree. author describes a lot that's going on in this DLC and it mostly sounds pretty good. also, complaining about the graphics seems silly since FO:NV is already fugly IMO.

think I'm gonna check out some other reviews before deciding...

@Eiffel

I didn't run and gun, I ran and punched lol. It was easy since I played it at a high level with high luk even though I had low a melee skill. I did get confused a lot of the times though, especially at the end where doing one thing can end the game for you.

Yeah, I'd been thinking about getting it on PSN, too. Maybe I'll pick it up if it goes on sale sometime.

Motorola4873d ago

I'm definitely not getting it when it hits PS3...heard of some save game issues with this DLC...dont want to lose my progress.

Motorola4872d ago

yeah it looks like it. Unfortunately I saw it all and have nothing to expect. My fault though.

acere4873d ago

Jezuz4873d ago

SnukaTheMan4873d ago
