Rogue-likes, so much to say about this drive-by crackerjack and cheap style of game design, and not much is good.

I'm sorry, but video games are not a sport. Anything where a 300 lb. fatass has just as much chance of winning as someone half his size and age is not a sport. Period.
While not the most prominent the WSVG has/had a great deal of exposure.. As gaming continues to become more popular events like those the WSVG hold/held will also grow in popularity. It's a shame to see them go as they like many other event organizers who are now gone were clearly before their time IMO.
As for the comments above.. It's really too bad that's the mentality of the majority of American gamers for organized gaming (including some gamers themselves, if you get that). Hopefully we'll be able to get past that BS someday and get on the same page as the rest of the world in regards to organized gaming.
