New Star Games has released an update for its retro-style racing game Super Laser Racer, available now for download on Steam. The patch brings a ton of awesomness including the additions of online multiplayer, a dozen new race tracks, new track pieces, electricity gates and more.

Super Laser Racer is the top-down sliding feel and controls of Micro Machines, the weapon and boost pickups of Wipeout along with the visuals and sounds of Geometry Wars. This top-down future racer combines all that is great about these games into one excellent value for money download.
Resolution writes: "Imagine flicking a set of toy cars around an air hockey table. That's the sort of high-tech, low-grav, zero-friction experience delivered by Super Laser Racer. It is, in effect, all about learning to manage the handling of these vehicles, as they fly and flail around a multitude of tracks suspended in deepest space. There's no tarmac condition to worry about, and nothing weighting these cars down to the road. They float precariously, at dazzlingly high speeds, around inordinately complicated laser grids."
