Back to the Future: The Game – Episode 1 Review | NonsenseGamer

Back To The Future: The Game has started off very well. Telltale have risen above all expectation and created not only an enjoyable game, but an important part of the Back to the Future series. Little Easter eggs will entertain fans – check out the name of the law firm, for instance – but is easygoing enough that anybody will be able to jump in and appreciate the work put in.

I love the series, the game looks pretty good too; I'm glad it hasn't been forgotten.

It looks like the game is a LOT better than the horrible one back in the day. Really got a perfect 10 though? I'm surprised...

Cheeseknight284873d ago

I'm almost done with the first episode, and while it is brilliant in it's devotion to the series, it's also not perfect. Some of the dialogue feels off, and it doesn't move as quickly as the movies did (But that's to be expected I suppose). It's definitely not perfect, and coming from someone who thinks the original film is one of the greatest movies of all time, this is as good of praise as I can give.

8, 8.5/10 at the highest.

There are a few niggling problems, in my mind. Mostly through the use of new voice actors and the hint system.

But none of that bothered my overall satisfaction with the game. I can't imagine for a second that I'll be awarding the second episode a 10 unless Telltale really manage to pull the stops out and make something new.

multipayer4873d ago

I'd say it is probably a 10 as a whole, but each individual episode will have a few problems like, not having a proper ending. Telltale is doing a fantastic job though, they should take a look at heavy rain and add some action sequences.

I've always held that if you get something for free you don't have the right to complain about it so a 100% score is well deserved.

Perjoss4873d ago

I dont get it,
are you talking about piracy?

matgrowcott4873d ago

Kinda defeats the point of the review process though.

Trust me, we don't give great reviews just because we've had a free copy of the game: http://nonsensegamer.com/po...

wasn't the first episode free? if not I just failed so hard.

snp4873d ago

Is, but there's a delay for downloading it. Think people who signed up to the free download of ep 1 can't get it till ep 2 comes out. Something like that, anyway.

FrankMcSpank4873d ago

So when are they coming to console? Will they be complete editions on disc or episodic too?

matgrowcott4873d ago

New year it will be coming to PS3 and iPad. They'll work much like the PC versions, you purchase the full season and then download it when it becomes available.

FrankMcSpank4873d ago

cool. like you can do with Sam and Max. sweet thanks. bubz

Sarcasm4873d ago

You have to really be a big fan of Back to the future to really enjoy what they put in this game.

I loved it and cant wait for the next episodes.

Steam A to Z: Week 5

Bit Cultures writes: It’s week five of Steam A to Z and, as this is an article which isn’t related to Fallout 4 in any way at all, I welcome the three people actually reading this! You know, a more unscrupulous journalist would scatter mentions of Fallout 4 throughout this article just to boost its prospects for those all-important clicks. Thankfully I have more scruples than you could shake a Radroach at, so that certainly won’t be happening. (Radroaches, of course, being one of the many weird and wonderful critters appearing in Bethesda’s Fallout 4.)
