I have a new year eve party every year with a bunch of family members. It's helpful for people with children who cannot get babysitters. People like you obviously don't live in the real world.

i agree it beats sitting on our fat bottoms watching crappy xmas movies and reruns .

We have a blast playing party games , fighting games and stuff like nba 2k , fifa or pes .

And it's hardly as if it's a 24/24 thing

In some parties inside or outside homes, people would play boardgames or charades or other group game. What's "holy crap" about playing party games on consoles?

It's usually a family and/or friends gathering , and still is whatever the activity chosen .

I did it great last year all you need is Buzz! for PS3 it works a dream! Played 8 players and everybody loved it. Singstar is great too for a casual crowd no MOVE/Kinect needed.
