I think gamers can find other ways to find these things,..I don't support piracy,.. but how many years do this companies want to hold on to these intellectual properties,..holly shit,.. It should be common good for humanity and our culture and history by now,..

1986, to 2011 is a long time,.. like 25 years since ,.. It should belong to the people by default,..

to disagrees ,.. fu

How? How the hell is hacking file code of an old ass nes game going to benifit mankind and culture? Here's a clue -- Sit down because what I'm about to tell you is going to be hard for you to take --

Gaming, well, it's not important. In fact, the only thing it serves is an economy boost around certain times of year. If there weren't so many lazy, broke ass people in the world gaming would have died out in the 80's. Now, with how bad the economical break down has become, families are too broke to spend their money on trips and things that matter so they resort to gaming to pass the time.

Games are infectious. And not in a good way. They need to be sanctioned.

SixZeroFour4882d ago

if thats what you think about games, then why the HELL are you on a gaming site?

Nodoze4882d ago

Balt I suggest finding a new site to hang out on. If games are 'infectious and bad', what does that say about the person that hangs out on a site devoted to these hollow pursuits you so quickly damn?

TROLL

Seriously man. Go troll somewhere else. I would also wholeheartedly disagree with your assessment on gaming. One can learn alot by the games societies indulge in. From the gladitorial bloodsport of ancient Rome, to the sprites and pixels of today. I would opt for the later any day of the week.

Sit down because what I'm about to tell you is going to be hard for you to take --

Gaming did die in the early 80's, If you took the time to look at history and learn the facts, the original famicom/nes revived gaming and made it popular again.

@Xusuyzus Its not piracy anymore, International copyright laws consider any game that has been off store shelves for more than 6 years as abandonware,
(don't ask me why its called that as the company hasn't actually abandoned there rights to the ip, it just is)
that means that even though the company still technically owns the rights to the ip, it is however legal to create and play roms/iso's of it. The only aspect of the original copyright that still holds is that you cannot sell it.

Geez, where's the Xmas spirit with you guys? This is a not an article worthy of cussing on each other.

Xusuyzus4882d ago (Edited 4882d ago )

I really don't get why people disagreed so fast,..
it has been 25 years since,.. (maybe before most of the users of this site were born,..)

It is not like it is so easy to find a working famicom and cartridge/or disc system, to experience this game, which is so important to gaming history,..

Source should be free and belong to people,.. so they can emulate it,..and play it,..

I am sorry my opinion was so devastating to you moral purists I got 11 Disagrees in 14 minutes,..

Kushan4882d ago

It's not for sale anywhere, it isn't available legally anywhere, thus any downloads of it do not count as piracy. Nobody is loosing any money from people downloading this.

Pretty neat to see something like this on the internet. Brings back good old memories of the SNES days (even though i never owned one)

7 Iconic Games That Put The PS1 On The Map

The first PlayStation is home to an array of iconic video games that went on to define the sheer significance of this console.

SimpleSlave10d ago

I think from a historical perspective I would change Spyro for Grand Turismo. It's the franchise that made the PS1 look like an absolute unit. Other than that, I can't argue with the rest when it comes to games that defined the PS1.

And to be honest, there should be space for Tekken 3, Wipepout and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in order to round out the PS1 identity as the machine to own at the time.

With Tomb Raider 2, Silent Hill, Symphony of the Night, Tenchu, and Soul Reaver as backup contenders.
