2010: The Year in Review

Call it the year of downloadable content. After 2009 laid an egg on the video game industry, shuttering studios, ciphering profit margins, and forcing layoffs across the board, 2010 was all about circling the wagons. The world's biggest game publishers decided the best way to get through the economic downturn was to stick with what works -- also known as the "sequels, sequels, and more sequels" strategy.

Say Goodbye To GameSpy: What Happens Next?

May 31st marks the end of an era as the GameSpy servers, the network behind countless multiplayer titles, is closing it’s virtual doors.
