Mana Pool: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Review

Mana Pool: If you have not played Knights of the Old Republic yet – you really owe it to yourself to grab a copy and give it a go. You don’t need to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy this game, the story stands alone from the movies and other material and the background is explained pretty well throughout the game. You can play this game without ANY prior knowledge of Star Wars and still have a great time. For those people who do like Star Wars; this is probably one of the greatest Star Wars games ever made.

This is my favorite Star Wars game.(Runner-up is Jedi Knight II: Outcast.) Oh how I wish the series didn't go the route of MMO. I wish there was another SP game. KOTOR was a 10 in my book.

You will be able to play the MMORPG alone if you desire - it's very much created with roleplaying in mind. The developers call it KotoR 3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 all in one.

Don't exclude it from your attention just because it will be an MMO - it actually looks really interesting for people who aren't interested in the whole social aspect of it as well!

Do I have to pay $15 a month if I play alone? That is what I don't want to do. I support the industry and MMOs are fine, but it's not my cup of tea. I don't have the time or financial freedom to commit to this game.

I agree.
I mean, BioWare are what gods would be like if they created games instead of universes, but I still think they kinda ruined it by going mmo :P
There's just nothing to break immersion like reading a mmo chat :/
