I am a big fan of MotorStorm but I have to say there is a serious amount of fun factor in Nail'd and the new MotorStorm Apocalypse doesn't seem to have as many paths to race through as the old style one did. Other than the detailed crash collision slow-motion spectacle when you slam into something in MS (which isn't too too useful or necessary really) the game Nail'd feels like a all around more enjoyable experience.

Seems every Sony game has a wannabe that thinks it can do it better. They just never do.

If these games were that good, they'd make they own name instead of attaching it to an established leader. Although thats not really the devs fault here.

Oh, and nailed beats Motorstorm at AIRTME. Thanks for the heads up, that exactly what I didnt like bout Pure. Spending 5 seconds in the air just pulled my out of the game. That and it felt like you were sliding down an invisible tunnel whose sides were guiding you rather than driving on a track that you could veer off and crash.

Motorstorm is awesome because although its arcadey, it requires real skill to win the races.

You gotta know the right paths for your vehicle, know how to boost efficiently depending on your vehicle, make sure you dont EVER screw up.

One little thing wrong and you're gone. The game is very unforgiving.

PS3 FANS are less concerned about graphics than you think. Of course, graphics are important. But gameplay and presentation in PS3 exclusives is what makes PS3 FANS most happy.

I play PC games too but I still find PS3 and Nintendo exclusives to be among the most compelling games out there. Perhaps if I was more into strategy games or MMOs I would feel differently. PC elitists are the ones who feel like they need to constantly remind everyone how out of date console tech is.

Verdict: The PC has *arguably the best hardware of the three but it becomes kinda a weak statement when you have to go back almost a year or more to validate your point... makes it look like the PC is starved for really good looking games; either use new arguments or just stay out of an argument because even if someone has never played Crysis (like I have) they're only a youtube clip away from seeing what's what and trust me: Crysis is a good game, but it ain't AAA material in terms of gameplay.

Verdict: That's where you want to be, the games change your argument, not going back to the same ol' same ol'. The Problem isn't the PS3, it's the player more so than not. Even if the games look better than a PC game's version of a genre (like GT5, for example) The insecure PS3 owner will still look at 100 reviews before buying because they haven't figured out that the PS3 exclusive games are sometimes trolled by the media when a game like FF gets the same score on the 360 and PS3 but when the multiplatform preforms better on the 360, the score is not the same.. figure it out and quit taking the bait.

350 argument: when backed in a corner,the 360 user goes to multiplatform games to show how a game built on and for the 360 runs better than that same game on the PS3.

Verdict: The 360 is far from "done", but go toe to toe using exclusives, not multiplatform games because even if you win the argument, it's still something a PS3 player can buy, so it's not really a "win": that's like double-dating with you and your enemy along with twin girls and you say all because the twin you're dating has a more revealing outfit on that you're dating the prettier one.

*I say arguably because of not only my own experience playing PC/PS3/360 games, but because one of the reviews for GT5 by a site that only reviews and plays car sim games said that GT5 is the best looking game they've played on consoles OR PC. I'm not a car sim fan, so I have to look and listen in this case. A PC game is as good as the hardware it's on, and just like a multiplat game, it's made to run for the lowest common denominator, so PC gamers will have varied results, and frame-rate problems, and lag, and whatever a console gamer has so it's not Shangra-La in PC land either.

I'm not a huge Motorstorm fan myself but it is the best in it's genere and there haven't been a single game that is better than it. Nail is fun....but nothing compared to Motorstorm. It could be called Pure 2. It's just like it. Pure wasn't better than Motorstorm though people like you claimed it.

Nail'd looks like fun, but I am a huge fan of Motorstorm, so it has a lot to live up to. And with the offerings that MS3 bring I think Nail's doesn't quite compete.
I suppose if somebody can't hold off for MS3 Nail'd is a great filler, but for people who have been somewhat spoiled with the intensity of Motorstorm, they may find Nail'd a bit one dimensional.

In Motorstom Apocalypse you can also customize a lot more their vehicles with vinyls, vehicle parts, and modify the vehicle's handling, boosting and offensive abilities through perks.

Also the creation in design their own game rules for online tournaments.

4 Players Split Screen, and 16 Players Online.

Nail'd only 12 Players online.

Yea motorstorm did this 4 years ago...and did it better. I just watched some gameplay and this game took every concept of motorstorm 1 and 2 and copy and pasted it. The only way you could tell it's not motorstorm is the graphics. Motorstorm looks waay better than this. Nail'd is like what medal of honor tried to do to call of duty. Motorstorm apocalypse will be way better and more original than this stolen product. But i bet that reviewers will give this game 9's and 10's but they gave motorstorm 1 and 2 7's and. 8's. What a joke.

The game does really well on speed and airtime, but it looks like it severely lacks in technicality. If you look at this video, notice how there's no sharp turns or areas where you're required to brake and use strict timing. Seems like a cheap thrill to me.

Motorstorm runs at a much higher resolution - 1280x720p

Nail'd runs at 1152x640p on the PS3..

Not only that but according to Digital Foundry over @ EuroGamer.. the game has a enormously variable frame-rate, and a vast amount of torn frames.

Also, I highly doubt that a multi-platform game toke full advantage of the cell processor. :)

I have Nail'd on PC... It's very fun, it has nice graphics, the track design is great, the feeling of speed is very cool.I disliked the character animation,and the soundtrack isn't very great too. I give the game an 8/10

We have seen only one level of MS:A and the genius at the top says that MS:A doesn't have as many pathways. Tell me did you finish the game in all of it entirety? Airtime huh? Well, sell it to the people who preferred Pure, Dante's Inferno, Enslaved and Prototype, but there's no point trying to convince a Lunatic=) MotorStorm is King in the arcade off-road genre. Liked the first one the most, almost 4 years later it's still a blast to pilot a rallycar around the Grizzly or through the Gulch. Can't wait for part 3, and I might just get that 3D telly when Apocalypse is out, also for WipEout, GT5 and KillZone.
