John Jacques of Game Rant writes: "Some fantastic game reveals and a moment of sanity made up for a slue of lowbrow humor and some surprising guest choices – all in all, it was another round of the good ol’ VGAs. But, in a world where videogames are often ridiculed for not being a form of art, relegated instead to a target for politicians and social critics to pin the problems of our culture on, the VGAs are an opportunity to celebrate the most creative developers and best experiences in the video game industry.
While it was still a good experience, here’s some things we think Spike should take a look at to ensure an improved round next year."
Chris, Ryan and Dan make their picks for the 2021 Video Game Awards.
This episode, Poli Games, hosts talk about the highs and lows of Video Game
Awards. We talk about our favorite trailers like Death Stranding, Mass Effect Andromeda, Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild, and more. Dan and Joseph answer whether PlayStation or Xbox One won Black Friday, lastly the gang give out their predictions on what will happen during PSX.
The VGA's have gone and when with a questionable bang. It was a weird night
for the award show. Many people sort of confused by what happened at the
award show as there wasn't much awards, but rather a whole lot of marketing
and promoting. The VGA's did show off some awesome trailers for Mass Effect Andromeda, Death Stranding, Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild. Poli Games host Joseph, break down the night in the best of the show and the worst of the show. Lastly talk about the drama around the Game of The Year.

These are all great ideas. I was very annoyed that they never revealed the winners of certain categories. I also agree that presenters who are actually relevant to the gaming industry would go a long way.
I have an idea: Let Kevin Pereira host it.
