It's all about Mass Effect 2 and LittleBigplanet2 for me.

I have to admit, that I am a little jealous of Lost in Shadow being on the Wii. I love that art style. The demo on PSN of echochrome ii is similar and it's really cool. I see this as a game the Wii crowd wouldn't appreciate and it would fit much better on PS3/360.

DeadSpace 2 looks really good but I may only rent cause I am broke and the MP Beta was trash. But the Campaign should be marvelous.

Two Worlds was garbage so I need some more info on the sequel. BTW what the hell is up with TW2 having reviews out 6 weeks before the game? Am I missing something?

OtakuRockU4887d ago

TW2 having reviews out already is because the game was released in November for Europe. I think it's going to be a lot better than the first one. The Metacritic score for TW2 is 80 where the first game got 50.

ALFAxD_CENTAURO4887d ago

I have Two Worlds 2 for PC, the game is Ok so far, better than the 1st TW, but nothing especial.

The graphics are very nice in some areas, that is the 1st thing I notice in wide open areas.

kramun4887d ago

I've seen a few videos of Two Worlds and it looked terrible, the dialogue in particular is atrocious.

Dead Space 2 and LBP 2 are the only ones I will pick up without checking reviews. I might get ME 2, but not being an RPG fan at all (I hate Fallout 3, that and Oblivion are the only ones I've played) I might give it a miss

nnotdead4887d ago

Dead Space 2 and LBP2 for me as well. the rest i'll just rent at most.

kramun4887d ago

Dead Space 2 is the one for me. Can't wait. And LBP2 for my kids, probably my sons most wanted game for next year.

femshep4887d ago

LBP2
Dead Space 2

Batman 2
Last guardian

EA Shoots Down Dead Space 2 Remake Rumors: 'No Validity to This Story'

EA has shut down rumors that EA Motive considered a Dead Space 2 remake before shelving it due to low sales of the previous game, saying there's "no validity" to the reports.

XiNatsuDragnel19d ago

Sure.... right.... at least remake dead space 3 w/o microtransactions bs.

XiNatsuDragnel18d ago

I sometimes I wished I didn't Ngl lol

Knightofelemia19d ago

Why not remake DS2 whether shot down or not it's still my favorite game next to DS1. As much as I hate EA I would buy or would have bought DS2 day one.

MeteorPanda19d ago

No validity XD "Guys guys, we cant possible make a good game or cater to the gamers wants, stop"

Yi-Long19d ago

I don't know if sales met their expectations or not. I just know that the high review scores received my attention so I was interested in buying it, but its price stayed high (50+ bucks) for so long that I simply never bothered picking it up.

Tacoboto18d ago

Doesn't pay full price
Doesn't pay *any* price
Ponders if sales met expectations regarding an allegedly canceled sequel.

Gee...

Yi-Long18d ago

Well, for starters, I'm sure there are plenty of games I never bought which did, somehow, still, meet their sales-expectations.

Concerning Dead Space; I never played and thus cared for the original. It's in multiple genres (shooter, sci-fi, horror) I don't particularly care about so it was barely on my radar pre-launch. I was never its target-audience.

When reviews hit, and it was scoring big, it gathered my interest, so while it wasn't in my field of interest, it mrans that I wanted to give it a fair shot and at least give it a try, as I do with many games across different genres; I tend to just cherry-pick the good stuff and see if it's for me or not.

But, I do wait for sales on those games I take a risk on.

Kornholic18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Lol, you are a huge part of the problem. If a very high-quality game is not even worth 50 bucks to you, then what is?

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave24d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan24d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave24d ago (Edited 24d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.

13 Years Later, Dead Space 2 Is Still A Perfect Video Game

Nameer from eXputer: "Dead Space 2 is a sequel that delivers such a feast that by the time you're done, you're not only full but also satisfied."

Aaroncls739d ago

It was amazing. All 3 DS games game solid for me, but 2 was special.

hombreacabado38d ago

i can do without ds3 but the first two are solid.

mariopasta38d ago

Hope they remake this one too. Just like they did with number 1. The remake of Dead Space 1 was perfection

Terry_B38d ago

thanks to the digital pass for it it was not perfect..in fact its difficult to find a working copy since many years.
