A Farmer’s Life For Me: Episode 2 - Midlife Gamer

The plan for this week's exploration of Farming-Simulator 2011 was to buy some livestock and try not to allow the same fate to befall them as that of so many of my pets... but alas, cows are expensive at $25000 each. Looks like we're going to have to make some money with what we’ve got before expanding into livestock.

Well, I love farming in Minecraft...why not?! (Although I think it's because in Minecraft, there's an important purpose to it....your own survival. Probably not as fun.)

Really I'll prefer to work on a farm

Excalibur's secret PC success

Publisher's range of simulation titles continue to perform strongly in PC sales charts.

When you think of a Top Ten PC game, the likes of StarCraft II, World of Warcraft, The Sims and Football Manager probably spring to mind. You certainly don’t think of Farming Simulator 2011.

But this quirky little niche game not only raced into sixth place in the PC Top Ten, it did it during what was a very busy November for new releases.

Even its publisher Excalibur was surprised by its success.
