Exsturminator.com examines the newest VGA trailer, and speculates on the meaning of the zombies, the radiation, and all the threes that keep showing up.
Sometimes even promising titles never see the light of day. These are five of the most ambitious games that shouldn't have been canceled.
Kojima wouldn't have started his own studio if Silent Hills didn't get cancelled so even if it stung at first, I'm fine with it.
i remember being so excited for patriots for years, only to have them release that siege trash. i hate how multiplayer games, pvp in particular, have ruined so many potentially good games.
A Left 4 Dead 3 reference was spotted in the files of the Counter-Strike 2 closed beta, suggesting that the title may finally be in development.
Not the first time it's been referenced. Valve said years ago that it wasn't in development, but of course things change. L4D3 was supposedly almost finished at one point but development stopped because Source 2 was still incomplete.
Most of the time you get people saying a third game isn't needed as there's nothing to improve upon anyways, which is complete nonsense. I have to wonder if those that say such things have junk computers or something. Why they'd want to keep playing the same repetitive thing over and over is beyond me.
Zack Zwiezen writes, "It seems like just yesterday when Valve announced a trilogy of expansions for their super-popular PC game, 2004's Half-Life 2. But it’s actually been 15 years since Episode 3 was announced. And while Valve has since released a new Half-Life game, it wasn’t the one the developer announced back in 2006."
Still hurts a little that we didn’t get Ep3… and the “leaked” plans for it sounded like a great finale to the HL2 story arc.
Whatever they release next i hope it's not catered to consoles first. Back 4 Blood seems to be going that route by having automatic flashlights, but i have high hopes Valve won't water down any games as they are usually released on PC way earlier, like HL2 and HLA.
Man, I wish I played Half-Life 2 when it first came out so I could love it like the fans do.
I played it on Xbox 360 and I thought it was ok. I recognize it set a standard for a lot of things like physics in game and story-telling in an FPS, but I think by the time I played it the design had been improved upon by other games.
I really don't see how all this relates to a new orange box. I would be a lot more convinced if they hid a lambda symbol somewhere in there.
Anyways, my dream orange box would be:
1.) HL2: ep3
2.) The new Counter Strike I heard they were working on
3.) Maybe a new Team Fortress. Or a couple mods like a new day of defeat or a new HL2 multiplayer. Or maybe Portal 2 could be bundled with it.
I hope they don't release another L4D. Its just too soon for another one.
I loved the first orange box so I really do hope they make another.
I noticed the '1 of 3' too on the zombie card too. Looks like collectibles or 3 separate announcements. I really have no idea, although, most are forgetting about a game that was in dev called 'Dead Island' which sounded like Farcry meets Dead Rising.
it could be half life ep3
The one hazard symbol will probably be something do with new vegas dlc
there is no new orange box
