Epic Mickey in 1080p

Disney's new Mickey Mouse adventure already looks spectacular, but some discriminating video game fans would rather see Epic Mickey running on something more powerful than the Wii. Thankfully, the Dolphin emulator can give us a taste of Mickey in HD.

Lair, i'll give you that, it was hyped quite a bit.
Borderlands, a multiplat game....
Bioshock, a port of a year old multiplat game
Dragon Age, multiplat...
Bayonetta, multiplat...

Those games, besides lair, weren't being viewed as the next coming or expected to "prove" anything for the ps3. It's the same thing every year for the wii, "Oh, this game is gonna SHOW that there's such and such audience on the wii, you just wait!"

Epic Mickey looks cool but lets be honest here, it looks like a combination of rayman 3d and mario sunshine, it doesn't look to offer anything (gameplay wise) that we haven't seen before.

I hope Wii benefits from having this truly epic game, but I would love for this to be HD with Move on PS3.

If I were you I'd have smoothly edited that part out of my post. It's pretty embarrassing to say the least. In fact, we're all reeling from it. We, the community and I, are thinking of setting up a service for you to send your messages to us before you post them so we can alter them into less embarrassing and suspect messages. As far as the game goes for Ps3 or whatever, it'd be nice but I don't think it'd have much of a home on their system. It'd get lost within an array of other AAA titles in the similar fashion. Not saying the Wii doesn't have good software, because it dose. It just has a stronger focus for this type of game.

do any of the consoles have 1080p gameplay....alan wake was 540p...halo 3 and reach are 600p

splinter cell conviction is 576p

the only thing that always delivers 1080p and beyond is the PC

This writing makes no sense to me. Using the Dolphin is clearly a viable option. You can choose to play the game in that way; you just posted video of someone doing just that!

Buying the game and using your Wii to burn it to a disk playable in your PC is the easiest way to run the Dolphin, so yes. Viable and totally legal.

The problem is that not everyone has a high end pc that can run a wii emulator and display it in 1080p. That would cost quite a bit, loads more than just getting a wii and the game.

You don't need a high-end videocard for this though, there is little to no emulation for that...so i've heard.
You atleast need some kind of shader standard.

With a decent Dual-core you can get some nice results.
For some reason when i tested Dolphin, the official build is slower than the r6xxx (onofficial ) revision.

In the first place, Dolphin requires what was a 'high end' PC a couple years ago. Current revisions run fairly well on what are by today's standards pretty much any half-decent PCs.

In the second place, it is not like the Dolphin is the only possible benefit (gaming or otherwise) one derives from owning a solid computer rig -- this should be obvious even to a child. In fact, owning an up-to-date computer is probably one of the smartest investments one can make in this day and age.

Yes, a high-definition experience costs more than just a standard-definition experience. A good computer costs more just than an obsolete piece of trash. Upgrading costs more than just stagnating. Boo hoo. So what?

its a great game and i truly wish to play it on my ps3(only console i have)but would of been better if it was a move exclusive? maybe. would of it sold more? nope not enough people have a move controller the audience is to small,hopefully one day ill play this game.

i'm holding out for the off chance this game makes it to the PS3/Xbox in the next year. i read awhile back the designer, publisher, whoever wasn't against it eventually making it's way to other consoles. so, who knows, maybe in a year, we'll get just that. i'll wait!

people keep on going on about the hi def graphics (or the lack of them,) but to me, lack of hi def is only a 'problem' once you have experienced hi def and then gone back to sd.

I mean, in the dreamcast days, all the games looked amazing and people agreed. but now there is that next level, everybody thinks sd is rubbish. obviously hd would be nice, but trashing a game just because its sd is fools logic.

The people who whine about SD don't have a good argument. For me I don't really care if a game isn't in HD, it's when games on the wii look worse than gamecube games. Mario Galaxy 1&2, MP3, MH3 and other games have shown that the wii is a powerful machine, it's the laziness of the developers that makes the games look like absolute crap 90% of the time.

this game would work just as good if not better with Move, what they should do is port it as a download game on PSN and im sure it would succeed.
