Review: GoldenEye 007 – Some Classics Are Best Left Untouched

GoldenEye is a name that most games not only know very well, but love. It was a cult classic back in the days of the Nintendo 64, and was probably the single best movie to video game adaptations ever. It’s a game that most gamers grew up playing with friends and the name alone comes attached with great memories and fun times.

pretty much all the bad reviews are giving this game a bad review just because its not a 100% copy of the n64 version which is actually pretty stupid

overall though this game has been getting really good reviews which surprises me

I love how you have so many disagrees, but no reply. Looks like none of these fanboys have actually played the game themselves.

meganick4927d ago

He has so many disagrees because this is a Wii game, and most people on n4g will shit on a Wii or 360 game any chance they get.

jwk944928d ago

I understand their points though, why name the game Goldeneye 007 when ur not going back and updating the game? They should've named it something else.

Shok4927d ago

What are you talking about? The game is updated. Instead of a watch, Bond has a smart phone. The time in the plot is modern day, and other plot changes and level pieces have been altered.

MoeThirteen4928d ago

Oh man a friend and I where talking about this game hoping it would be able to live up to the original. Now I know what to expect coming into it.

No FanS Land4928d ago

most of the critics gave it a good score. this review is much lower than any other review for this game.

To be honest I didn't like the game. I agree with him. Some people just need to understand that people have different points of views on games. It was a bit harsh, but I could see why.

Maybe it is time to just let Goldeneye go. People keep e-begging for this game and it came back in various iterations; remastered and original and in the end it was just meh. The game was a product of its time like Perfect Dark and Timesplitters.

Father__Merrin64d ago

It's from a bygone era that was good at the time but is pants now. Same with turok.

NotoriousWhiz64d ago

Whoa whoa whoa. Turok still holds up great.

YourMommySpoils64d ago

Isn't that like considering every other game too.

P_Bomb64d ago

When in doubt, port it out.

jznrpg64d ago

The game was a lot of fun for its time but damn that was a long time ago.

anast64d ago

There are better shooters now and better worlds.

The Best Selling N64 Games of All Time

Want to know what the best selling N64 games of all time are? Here's the top ten list, with many fan favourites and a couple of surprises.

Ninver386d ago

Never understood what 64 meant. Can anyone enlighten me? All I know is my neighborhood friends and I used to play the crap out of it. Favorite games were Cool Boarders, Mario kart 64, WCW vs NWO just to name a few. Man life was simple and good.
