1UP: Prince of Persia HD Collection Coming to U.S. PSN

1UP: Among the heap of financial info contained in this morning's first-half 2010-2011 report from Ubisoft is a confirmation that the Prince of Persia Trilogy will be arriving on the U.S. PlayStation Store.

Previously announced for a retail release in EMEA (European, Middle Eastern, African) territories, the HD remakes of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones are now listed on Ubisoft's release schedule for Sony's downloadable games platform. The disc-based compilation appears to have remained an EMEA exclusive, however.

just bout the EU version via eBay yesterday, i think i'd rather have a hard copy than a digital one too (even though the box art is a$$ ugly). there's still a few left on the guy's eBay account, just search for it.

TreMillz4936d ago

Sorry i complained about America getting shafted!

Christopher4936d ago

I hope the BD comes to NA so I don't have to pay extra to import.

crxss4936d ago

eBay my friend. got it yesterday for 30 GBP... so $48 US. not too bad.

IMChampion4936d ago

Next step, bring more PS3 games to PSN!

WildArmed4936d ago (Edited 4936d ago )

Vice City.. PS3 game? D:

With that said, Vice city is the only game I've had on my PC for 7 years :D

It's pretty sad that Mac users are getting Vice City NOW.
Don't think I'll ever get rid of it >.<
just soo awesome.

Jamegohanssj54936d ago

Yeah when I get a mac Imma have to buy Vice city for it. I've had VC PS3 since 2006. I have the only copy though.

TANUKI4936d ago

Aww... I actually wanted a US retail release too...! Oh well, this is good enough too.

TANUKI4936d ago

I think I'll wait a bit... maybe they'll decide to put it on disc later on.

Neo Nugget4936d ago

Wow, this makes up for it not being a retail in the US ^_^

Ubisoft to Focus on "Return to Leadership" in Open World Genre, Expand Live Service Experiences

Ubisoft says they are focusing on two "core verticals," and that's to return as a leader in the open world genre, and live service games.

enkiduxiv6d ago

Calling Ubisoft a leader in open world gaming at any point in time would be like calling Dollar General a leader in retail.

excaliburps5d ago

Well, to be fair, they did pump out good open world games before. It was used as a template so much that people now know what it means when you say it's like an Ubi open world collectahon.

shinoff21835d ago

What though? I can't think of one game they had where I liked anything about it. Atleast since the ps3/360 Gen

Kornholic5d ago

If they have never been the leader in open world gaming, then explain me this: why does almost every open world game follow the same tired old Ubisoft open world formula?

Follow the Leader.

Aphrodia5d ago

YO dont' talk bad about the General. There'll be problems...

You were never the leader bro 🤣

shinoff21836d ago (Edited 6d ago )

I don't think they were ever the leader tbh. I've never really cared for any of their open world games. I do wanna try watch dogs 2 because it looks like it's set in San Fran. Looked interesting

Ubisoft's Recent Antics Have Me Fearful For The Sands of Time Remake

Hanzala from eXputer: "With Ubisoft's practices becoming increasingly anti-consumer lately, the destruction of The Sands of Time Remake looks almost inevitable."

thorstein34d ago (Edited 34d ago )

Hey Ubi, here's a gun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

*Ubi takes gun, aims at foot, empties clip*

Chocoburger34d ago

At this point, only dummies have any hope left for Ubi-junk games.
