People hate on him so much, is because of all the untrue hype he spreads about his games. He as hailed all 3 fable games as the best rpgs ever, and while they are quite good, they can hardly ever be considered "best rpg ever."

Thankfully, the fable series is being put to rest for a while. Fable 1 and Fable 2 were both truly enjoyable games but Fable 3 was just an utter disappointment despite the game's excellent writing throughout.
Hopefully, Molyneux moves on to bigger and better things and supports the PC as much as the Xbox brand.

Very unique, creative, and atmospheric.

After The Last Guardian on PS3 releases, I'd like the creator (Fumito Ueda) to create an open world RPG! That would be so epic!

Here's an idea: Take some advice from Demon's Souls and go back to making games that challenge the player instead of coddle the player. You liked the "hand-holding mechanic" in Ico, but you're doing it wrong - the characters held hands in Ico; Ico didn't hold the player's hand. Shoot for Ico after you have that challenge thing out of the way.

There is so MUCH you can do in that game it's ridiculous! When I played fable 2 I did it just for the story since I like it. Beautiful world, awesome characters and magic and interesting good vs evil idea.

In Fable 3 I'm actually going out of my way to play it doing different things and it's overwhelming. There is so many things I want to do but not yet not yet haha.

He deserves more props than what he gets. IMO the Fable series are a work of art.

Everything under Bullfrog was a critical and commercial success. Every Fable and Black and White under Lionhead has been a critical and commercial success.

Peter's entire gaming career has been marked by innovation, revolution, evolution and success.

I guess he just really likes the simplicity of ICO. It seems that he has gone for that type of simplicity with the Fable games. Simple UI, intuitive game play, and good simple story telling.

With Peter going on about saying things like 'ive never made a great game' and other stuff now this. The thing is what is stopping him from making a decent game? Fable 2 was utter rubbish, Fable 3 was good but short and not that overly visually impressive and poor ending if you want to call that an ending.

I'm playing fallout: new vegas it's 4.9gb on the 360 fantastic visuals, superb gameplay, huge world, tons to do and well just great apart from some of the bugs and glitches but that hasn't ruined it for me.
Then you have Fable 3 it is 5.9gb and nowhere as impressive as fallout: new vegas or even oblivion which was around 4.9gb as well and nowhere as long or as involved.

Fable imo is headed down the wrong road, Fable 1 blew me away visually on the original xbox and it was great only gripe was it was short.

Fallout has some of the worst graphics in any game this generation with outdated animataions.

i loved Black and White 2. i even loved the original Fable.

didn't care much for Fable 2 (i'm still playing it at the moment), and i'm holding off on Fable 3 until i finish 2 and get some extra cash.

if Molyneux put half the effort into fleshing out his concepts as he does boasting about what he's TRYING to do, and those "little darlings" he can't bare to part with (patty cake and farting? REALLY, Peter??), Fable could be a franchise to reckon with.

if he were to actually evaluate what he did in the previous Fable, and look into ways on improving and polishing those elements that WORK, the series would be better off. instead, each Fable is like a different game with the same name.

even Final Fantasy has some thematic and game play consistency, despite setting the series in new worlds, with new characters and battle systems.

Fable is NOT Final Fantasy.

i really miss the combo meter, flourishes, and shoulder button aiming in Fable 1 (well, if you play Fable 1 on the 360, the bumper buttons bring up FPS aiming). i enjoyed the dog in Fable 2, as well as having a kid that gets older. that's ALL.

bring back the map from Fable 1. keep the bread trail if you MUST from Fable 2. bring back the combat from Fable 1. keep the magic system from Fable 2.

drop the farting, patty cake, and handholding from the franchise all together. it's not funny.

return control of the character to the player. simplicity for simplicity's sake isn't a good thing. Fable was never complicated to begin with, so there was no reason to pull it back like they did, and then slap a mature rating on it.

target the franchise for ONE demographic, and make it SING to that demographic. doesn't mean blood, guts, tits, and ass for a mature audience, but give us game play that FITS with a mature audience.

i LOVE British humor and comedy. Fable is NOT funny. it just isn't. it reeks of trying to hard.

i enjoy the franchise. i supported Lionhead by buying both Fable 1 and Fable 2 on day one, full price. i'm not doing the same for Fable 3 (though it's mostly financial reasons).

there is a lot of potential in the franchise, so i don't think he should drop it, but i think Molyneux should hand over the directorial reigns to someone else at Lionhead. or did the most talented people leave and form Media Molecule? Fable deserves better than this egomaniac dragging the franchise through the dirt.
