Resolution: Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 review

Resolution's Brendan Caldwell writes: Here are the facts. There are roughly 720 ninja left in the world today. Ninja are approximately 10 times stronger than the average American Football player. They are 98% genetically identical to human beings. Although I may be confusing one or two or all of these facts with what I know of the Mountain Gorilla, it is still clear that a better conservation effort must be made to protect the humble ninja. Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is perhaps, a step in the wrong direction.

The cinematic scenes alone deserve more than 5/10. This guy must only play FPS, because the bright colors and imagination proved to be way to much for his feeble mind.

Great review. A balanced viewpoint of the good and bad points about the game. Sounds spectacular, but ultimately unsatisfying, particularly if you aren't overly familiar with the source material.

Because all I could see this guy doing was trying to be funny with his utter dislike for the game, and maybe Naruto in general. He didn't really give any pertinent details about gameplay. Just vague oversights. That's not a review. It's a blurb.

This is a great review. Before reading I would have not looked twice at Naruto Shipwrecked Underling Nonce Scrum 2 but now I want to see it for myself.

Whoa there, chap. I'm not trolling, that was an honest comment and proof that you have not read the review featured above. In the review the reviewer mocks the title, comically creating 3 or 4 versions of it. But seriously, the review does make me want to play it. Although I'm not expecting to be full of this thing you call 'epicness'.

And no, I'm not a little girl, I'm saving that for Sunday, baby. Going to get me some of that Halloween candy.

Such games are made for the fans even the developers are the biggest fan of the series.

Why are others allowed to go down on the game because they don't get it or w/e????

What would the world become to if developers stopped making games for the fans just because the game wouldn't go well with others who this is unknown too or not interested to whatever the genre or anime???

It's not always the case though, the game should explain what is going on for newcomers not just assume that anyone who plays it knows everything about the story.
Also as someone who knows nothing about Naruto, I can rate it as a fighter that it is and in that essence, this review is almost (but not quite) right.
IMO that's what reviews should be based on, their rating the game here not Naruto as a whole. (Although granted, it's still a poor review either way)

Well. I'm not going to compeltely disagree with you because I understand the point.

But the story follows the anime very closely and this game don't start from the first anime episode or mange chapter if you will. And I think if you really want to become invested in the Naruto universe you REALLY should read the manga or watch the anime.

There is really no one who can explain Naruto to you. It's a epic story which needs to be experienced for yourselves.

Yeah but NBT, you don't actually realize how deep the Naruto story line is. Even in UNS2 they missed out a fuck load of plot elements that are vital to the manga and anime because quite frankly it would be way too much for a fighting game. And to add in Part 1 of Naruto too, would just be too much. Way too much. I wish people would realize this.

It's no different than trying to play a Star Wars game without knowing any of that Universe.

NS:UNS2 actually does brilliantly in explaining the basics to players who know nothing of the Naruto Universe.
