This game isn't even out yet. Watch these idiots go buy this shit. See, dlc needs no packaging. Which means if no one buys it it's not a major monetary loss and the content will just sit there in virtual reality for the odd sucker that happens to buy it. I would say lets boycott dlc that is really a cut from the actual game but I know it won't work because gamers don't take a stand these days. They're too hooked

I always liked Altair as an assassin more than Ezio. Altair seemed to me like being assassin meant more to him, it WAS him. Ezio just kind of fell into it and then seemed like he was an Assassin for the sake of it. For Altair, it was his identity. Just my opinion.

these devs and publishers should be boycotted. dlc before the game is out is ridiculous. this dlc age is getting sickening. gone are the days when a person can get the same experience as everyone else, a full story, and unlockables in a game without buying more than the disc. heres a concept, if the devs release a game but afterwards think that something should be added to enhance the experience.. give it for free. people already spent $60 to support.

I do believe that some DLC should be give free if it must be DLC.

Under free DLC I would categorise things like: extra clothes and costumes, weapons, whicles. Things that don't need much of an effort to create.

On the other hand full blown mission packs that add new areas, maps quests to the game with additional hours of gameplay I gladly pay for but only for games that really, really got my attention in the beggining.

Now see, Medal of Honor for example. I don't care what they do to it right now I will not support the devs. because they gave us so little. Whatever DLC they will put out should be absolutley free.

But to plan DLC before the game is even finished....there is greed right there. I'm not sure if these people religious but being THAT greedy will surley get you to hell in most religions. (I'm not religions by the way...just saying)

Good old days, not that long ago, DLCs were developed as post new contents for the games. Now, DLCs are a way to move part of the original game contents to be sold for more money.

It seems announcing DLCs before the game is out has become more common now. For gamers who don't care about the total cost of the game, this can be good marketing.

For those who hate having to pay more for the DLC, this can also be useful to know ahead that the actual cost of the game is a lot more than $60 since part of the game contents are already moved to DLC.

Hmmm, AC2 had sequences cut to be released as DLC, and was announced shortly after release (I believe), and now they're announcing this well before release AND the game is only out a year after AC2? No thanks. I'm definitely passing on this game.

They don't care about giving their fans the best gaming experience they can. Absolutley. The DLC later released for Assasin's Creed 2 was originally going to be part of the game, but they cut it because they thought it made the story too long. So why would this be different for the next game in the series by the same dev?

I think DLC is a great addition for Fans but it shouldn't finish the story. So if the DLC is some nice bonus - no problem. If you need the DLC to complete the story - kinda rubbish (:
