Cool story bro.
Still not enough to make me buy PS Move.
I'll wait until Killzone 3 or LBP 2 comes out.

raztad4958d ago (Edited 4958d ago )

Razing Storm is a very nice addition to MOVE compatible library. I enjoyed the demo. Of course I didnt buy MOVE because of Time Crisis but to play MAG. Quite happy with my purchase. Table Tennis and Gladiator (Sport Champions) are also fun.

Nitrowolf24958d ago

on Move Starter kit disc
idk bout the store

SexyPrawns4958d ago

It's in the UK store, guys. Just make a UK account.

Theonik4958d ago

Cheers getting the demo now.

guru95354958d ago

@sexyPrawn:

you are a troll.....it is not on the UK PS store....it's only available on the demo disk......stop trolling, and telling people misinformation.

DarkTower8054958d ago

This is supposed to be a major game for the Move, and I have yet to see any advertising for it. Sony needs to market Move games better.

darren_poolies4958d ago

The demo isn't on my Move starter disk? :S

shoddy4958d ago

Move is also for hardcore.

stuntman_mike4958d ago

time crisis is not on the starter disc i got or on the uk store??

Sorcery or Echochrome ii. Those are the reasons I might eventually get one.

Prcko4958d ago

buying this,i need to pratice for killzone 3

Christopher4958d ago (Edited 4958d ago )

Get MAG for that. It takes a long time to get used to Move with MAG, but it's definitely an interesting way to play.

The Shoot nor Time Crisis will prepare you for the running and gunning elements in Killzone 3. MAG will do more than that.

There's especially a large learning curve involved in setting up the various controls for Move in MAG. I spent two hours just updating my sensitivity, pitch, and various other settings with my controller. Still not used to using a thrust forward motion for stabbing.

On top of that, I suck at FPS multiplayer. I'm amazed at how easily other people can do headshots from long range without using scopes. This Penny Arcade comic kind of speaks a ton about me :p

Wh15ky4958d ago

MAG is great with the Move. I bought MAG a couple of weeks ago and have only ever played it with the Move, took me a long time to tweak my control settings too, but I think I've perfected it now. I am also pretty poor at FPS multiplayers but I'm getting better and playing MAG with the Move is just too much fun to put down. I also agree with your comment about stabbing, it's tricky to get used to.

raztad4958d ago (Edited 4958d ago )

cgoodno is absolutely correct about MAG as the best way to get used to MOVE in competitive FPS.

I didnt spend so much time fine tuning. Just used competitive setting and then made the bounding box smaller so I can rotate faster, but not too much to be able to shoot almost anywhere on screen w/o spinning.

After some rough time I'm finally back to my previous level using DS3, and then some. Today for example I had the pleasure of decimating 6 guys guys by myself (two encounters 3 on 1 each). How? equipping the LMG + MOVE magic. It felt incredible, and my skills in FPS are just ok, nothing write home.

"still not used to using a thrust forward motion for stabbing"

True. Stabbing fvkin sucks and MOVE users are in disadvantage in close encounters. I have managed to score some knife kills, but the gesture is lacking sensitivity so there is no way you can win against a simple button press. Socom 4 uses a much better stabbing gesture.

Out in time for Japan and Move, Interesting.

STIKUP ARTIST4958d ago

this game makes me want to go and buy move right now. I miss these old style shooting games . I hope sega makes a new virtua cop for move.

These PS3 Games are Going to get Really Expensive

Could you get rich by investing in PS3 games? Almost definitely not. Can you make a few bucks by flipping PS3 games over the years? Yeah, sure! It wouldn’t even be that difficult. But let’s face it: Once these games are in your collection, you’re probably keeping them forever.

There's a reason I didn't buy most of these when they came out.

MadLad980d ago

After a game's multiple generations old, and can't be had new at a reasonable price, that's when I see nothing wrong with emulation.

What's the point of paying someone scalper prices when the dev/publisher isn't even benefiting from it?

mkis007980d ago

Emulation doesn't stop a games physical box from becoming collectible.

Knightofelemia980d ago

I paid $30 for SH Downpour on PS3 now it's around $70-$85 Canadian Lolipop Chainsaw I paid $15 and it has really gone up in price. I wonder if Transformers War and Fall of Cybertron will go up in price two of the best Transformers games every made.

neutralgamer1992980d ago

In 5 years time all those games will be worth at least $150 to $200 that you listed

980d ago
neutralgamer1992980d ago

Ever since Sony announced that they would shut down PS3 store these prices have skyrocketed and even though Sony backtracked now most gamers realize that it's a matter of time before the PlayStation 3 store is shut down. If you want these games get them while you can even if digital because once that story shut down the physical prices will just go crazy high we saw that already

And many of these games did not sell like crazy amounts so they are limited number of copies available for sale at any given time

MadLad980d ago

Folklore is a game I've always really wanted to play, but I got a PS3 late in the generation, and it was already really expensive to find, being it didn't exactly sell well, therefore was already kind of a collector's item.

Kept hoping I'd find a cheap copy randomly at stores and flea markets, but never happened.

franwex980d ago

I got mine for $5 at Walmart like 10 years ago. I have yet to play it.

neutralgamer1992980d ago

It was available at GameStop for a while for under $20. Don't know har happened but GameStop started to sell their used games based on ebay prices it seems

You can still find it for around $60-70 and which in my opinion is a good price for a game that will be worth double if not triple that in next 5 years

Mr Logic980d ago

Have you considered modding your PS3? Neither Sony or the dev would be getting money from that Folklore purchase. Kind of a victimless crime at that point.

MadLad980d ago (Edited 980d ago )

@neutral

Honestly, I just want to actually give the experience a try. I'm not someone who would buy it at a premium just to potentially rip someone off down the road.
I mean, there are collectors out there and if paying a couple hundred dollars is worth it to them then more power to them, but I'm not one to be on either end of that exchange.

I know it's taboo, but I might dig in and see the state of PS3 emulation on PC. I have a good PC, so it might be able to power through the often times poor performance, being PS3 is known to be hard to emulate.

I've never emulated anything past the PS2/Dreamcast but, as I said in my first post, I don't see anything wrong with emulation if the game you want to play can only be had used, with no money going to the creators.

played all ps3 exclusives
last gen when i owned the system haven't played asura wrath though will play it on this emulator

Teflon022170d ago

Couldn't you just use a much more playable Xbox 360 Emu for that?

Rhythmattic2170d ago

Fark... I almost forgot how good K2 looked....
I must go boot it up on my PS3 and play through it again.....

MadLad2170d ago

And then the 20fps comes into play and you question whether it is even worth it.

ChrisW2170d ago (Edited 2170d ago )

The frame rate drop wasn't that bad... The sloppy controls are what ruined it for me.

Maybe someone can make the controls better through the emulator?

Rhythmattic2170d ago

Most frame drops where due to streaming and loading a new level...
As far as in combat, i didn't notice a drop at all.
So your right, but also wrong.

MadLad2170d ago

I'm not. Go play 2 and 3 again. I might be more in-tune being I usually play at very high fps, but the game definitely drops into the low 20s during combat, and on multiple occasions.

Scar-2170d ago

Its funny how bitchy pc gamer are about frame rates but they are silent as mice with this. I get that its going to be better eventually but its been muddy and unplayable for MONTHS now stop showing it till its done. Whats the point of playing ps3 games on a pc at a far worst frame rate aside from being a fanboy??

Doge2170d ago

“Whats the point of playing ps3 games on a pc at a far worst frame rate aside from being a fanboy??”

Another PS3 emulator article, another person who doesn’t get it.

MadLad2170d ago

We'll wait on the inevitably superior emulated version.
You can drop $40 on the lackluster, up-res compilation down the the road.

We both win.

riibhu2170d ago

" I get that its going to be better eventually "
there you already have your answer. As for this article it's purpose is to show the progress, not final result. So why stop?? You don't have to read it.

Vegamyster2170d ago

You're assuming that those who complain about FPS are the same people who are playing this, very few people will actually try to play this in its current shape.

YoungKingDoran2170d ago

Crazy. I dont have a good PC to emulate these games (still have my ps3 anyway) but it makes me happy knowing in another ~15 years I might be able to just boot up some of these classics on my then potatoPC from 2029

mogwaii2170d ago

Yay all those monster elite pcs can play more old games, awesome.

House of the Dead 3 and 4 should be on the list. I still play Overkill on a regular basis, worth buying a move just for that game alone. The Cabela games that support move are fun too.

sypher3358d ago

Is Rambo, Move compatible? And there is also Child Of Light which is sort of a shooting game.

from the beach3358d ago

Rambo is indeed Move compatible. Child of EDEN is too - I've only got the Kinect version but it's the best Kinect game and probably the best Move game.

No idea how this site missed HOTD 4.. and it remains a great shame more of Sega's gun games from that era didn't make it across to PS3 via Move.

sypher3357d ago

Ah yeh sorry, meant Child Of Eden :p the mizuguchi game. Got the names mixed up lol

Ahmay3357d ago

i wish they also made light guns like the arcade ones. they r faster at aiming and more accurate..
