GameZebo - Robin Hood: Archer of the Woods Review

Robin Hood may be best known for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, but it seems as though he’s also quite the handy marksman as well. And in Archer of the Woods he puts those skills to good use. It’s a relatively simple cross between tower defense and a Worms-style action game, with some great production values and an ever increasing difficulty.

STP: "We never thought of the thief of Sherwood Forest as the Schwarzenegger type, but in Robin Hood - Archer of the Woods, he goes outright commando on an entire army. The Merry Men are nowhere to be found, so it’s up to you and you alone to pelt the invaders with as many arrows as you can as they attempt to burn down your village."

AppSpy: Robin Hood - Archer of the Woods Review

AppSpy: "Bow-defense titles are a hit or miss genre (what's with my puns this week?) and this is partly due to the rather loose control scheme they tend to share. In Robin Hood all you need to do is tap and slide your finger back to aim and set the power of your shot and while this isn't specifically new, I do like the small interface touches that make repeat shots somewhat easier to maintain in terms of consistency. A trail is left behind the last shot made which can subsequently be used as a sort of aiming guide to stretch your 'bow' across, resulting in a somewhat equivalent shot."
