Lost Planet 2 plays like it was never put in front of a member of its intended audience at some point during its development, someone who might have asked "why?": "Why can't I pause the game unless I make my game unjoinable?" "Why can't I join a co-op game in progress?" "Why can this monster kill me in two hits?" A little "why?" may have taken this game in a different, more compelling direction. If you've burned through other multiplayer or co-op options, then there might be something for you in Lost Planet 2. The single player campaign is lengthy at around 14 hours with full co-op support and the multiplayer has plenty of maps and modes. Just do yourself a favor: buy some insurance for the controller you'll invariably throw across the room at one of Lost Planet 2's seemingly endless design and interface issues.

The load times in retrospect are unbearable but I did have hella fun playing couch co-op with my gf on the PS3 and PS2.
Resistance 2 co-op was amazing! I wish they would remaster resistance 1-3 and killzone 1-3 for the PS5.

It looks amazing, but plays the same. The benchmarking alone is sort of worth a purchase. Ok, maybe not.
I wanted yo to do well so badly. I loved (ok liked) the fist game but decided not to get te 2nd after terrible reviews. If they made the gamplay more like Vanquish along with the fact that it is coop, this gae would be fucking awesome. Maybe Vanqush 2 can fulfill those requests.
there's absolutely nothing wrong with this game other than the noobery of the reviewers. i played through it completely solo and had a blast, i didn't "throw my controller".

if you don't mind a used copy it's only $14 in the gamefly store. it's just my experience that I didn't have a single complaint with the game. capcom even patched the issues with controls and whatnot that people had.
